Losing 5 games in row, shows that KG is the real leader and not Rondo. This is my opinion based on real facts. Missing KG is a big problem and make us pesimistic for the rest of the season.

KG has always been the MVP here.  Clearly the most important player... stats back up his ridiculous impact on the defensive side.  We're nothing without him.

Pierce is the 2nd best player.  Our offense relies on him.

Rondo is the 3rd best player.  Good at getting assists.  Talented, but you can withstand losing him more than the other two... especially if you have capable scoring/defending guards who can step in for him.  Is what it is.

That said, it's also late in the season and the Celtics have nothing to play for until the playoffs start.  We're possibly better off playing Miami in the 1st round.  So you really can't sweat the lack of effort and the losses right now.  It's irrelevant.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

We may not be going anywhere without Rondo, but we are going backwards without KG.

It shows that the Celtics have hit the limit of top players they can have hurt and still be a competitive team.

We used to win most of the games KG missed, he must not have been a team leader in 2008 or 2009 (according to your "facts"). Also, during our 5 game losing streak KG played in 2 of the games and we lost them both, clearly his play means nothing to the team.

Exactly.  If the order in which they went down were reversed, you could argue the opposite. You can't compare the two injuries

Haha. If we had capable scoring/defending bigs to put in for KG he wouldn't be our most important player. We used to do fine without him when our other bigs were Perk, Baby and Powe, and that was before he blew out his knee and was a significantly better player. His being indispensable is based on the makeup of the rest of the roster more than it's based on his play.

For all the talk about KG on defense he's been bailing the team out big time on offense. He's hit a fair amount of contest shots at the end of the shot clock, keeping our offense somewhat respectable.

KG still is very important for the C´s, the best defender.

I'm just curious what point exactly the OP is trying to make.  We get it, you don't like Rondo, and seem to enjoy going out of your way to trash him.  That's great, but personally, I couldn't care less.

What is your point?  What do you propose as a solution to the problem you perceive?  Enlighten us all, please.
