Oh wow, I just read that the Colts don't have to pay any of Richardson's signing bonus money to the Browns. That means they are paying an average of $2.2 million dollars over three years on their cap.

I assumed his cap figure would be bigger than that, the Browns still have cap charges of $3.5 and $6.7 this year and next year.

I used to be a big Alex Smith detractor, mainly bc I thought from day one that SF blew that pick and should've selected Rogers ( I was right), but he seems to have really come around the last couple of  years.

If you could have MMA fighters on the field with summo wrestlers and Olympic sprinters you would have the NFL, which explains why people like it. I'm more or a college guy.

That's where I was going. If they're going to keep football relatively similar to the way it's played now I think it behooves the league to look at ways to more successfully recover injured players.

People are bigger, faster, and stronger naturally?  In the NFL?  I'm not buying that it's natural for someone 270 lbs to run a 4.7 and be able to bench press 225 like 37 times. Having someone like that smash you creates injuries.

So . . . my starting tight end for fantasy this week was Jordan Reed.  Last second, he goes out with a headache (he had a concussion last week).

I was forced, therefore, to pick up basically the last tight end still available to play this week: Zach Miller.

I entered tonight needing a combined 30 points from Zach Miller and Steven Hauschka (the SEA kicker) in order to win my matchup tonight.  If I win this game, I win my division, which means $50 in my pocket.

Zach Miller hasn't done much prior to tonight.  His highest fantasy point total this season before tonight was 12.  It's the end of the 1st quarter and he already has 12.

Could Zach Miller end up being the most epic last second desperation pick-up ever?  Or will my team fall short (despite putting up over 125 points!)? 

We'll see.

Man, the Seahawks really destroyed the Saints.  Not much question which team is tops in the NFC, assuming the Seahawks maintain home field advantage.

I think the NFC Championship could very well be Seattle vs Carolina.  That would be a fun matchup.


In other news, I lost my fantasy matchup 145-151.  Any other opponent in the league, I would have won by 20+.  Oh well.
