I went to bed after the first half, did Peyton have any more zip on the ball in the second half?  He put up good numbers in the first half but the balls he was throwing looked more like Chad Pennington passes than the ones I used to remember him throwing.

Not really.  No deep balls at all, lots of screens and crossing patterns.  Baltimore's defense was just really tired as their offense laid an egg for the 3rd quarter and about half of the 4th quarter.  I really think if Denver's first possession of the second half had ended on Welker's no-catch, which was ruled a catch, the entire tone of the second half is different.

The big surprise for me was just how many awful drops Baltimore's receivers had.  Flacco had a couple of bad throws, but for the most part was on the money with the receivers just dropping passes left and right.  Dallas Clark had a number of easy catches just fall to the ground (including a TD right at the end of the first half).

259 YAC ouch. Awful defense by the Ravens.

His air yards per attempt were right around his past season average, which was tied for 3rd with his brother.

Very disappointed in the carrie underwood Sunday night football intro.  She has all the tools to make a great intro, but tonight's doesn't hold a candle to last years faith hill intro

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I just wanted to say my Niners are now 1-0.

Kaep went 400+ yards, and that's not even running the read option a lot (maybe because, to give credit, Green Bay knows how to defend it now).

But overall, the Niners are the class of the NFC. Boldin was a great pickup. And once Manningham comes back healthy, that's two receivers who can wreak havoc.

Philly looking so sharp right now, executing plays to perfection ... Skins are the opposite, with dropped balls, bad decisions, and just plain rusty.

Nice comeback by the Skins, despite the loss ... I'd be encouraged as a Washington fan.

Wondering how severe Vick's groin pull is ... guess we'll find out soon.

Fun game to watch, thanks to PIP I didn't miss Charlie and Assad.

Baltimore may not be good this year.

Also, Cleveland and Minnesota should get in a bidding war for Philip Rivers, as San Diego may just need a fresh start.

Yeah, Minny could be really good if they just had a better QB.  Very solid team in just about every other aspect.

I still don't know why Minnesota thinks Ponder is  the answer at QB.
