Tell me one good player who isn't dirty. You really can't (OK Durant maybe...) It's simply a facet of the sport. I'd say he's nowhere near the "dirtiest player in the NBA" though.

Injuries happen...players have been inadvertantly stepping on players' feet for ages, now...players have(and should have) the right to guard someone like Kobe.

He is not exclusive to being defended. He is already tough enough to stop as is, without the Officials giving him even MORE leeway.

This is exactly how I feel. Jones was playing defense, put a hand in his face while Kobe kicked out. As a result, his left foot comes down in an awkward place which happens to be where Jones' foot was, I think it was a good no-call. Jones never looked at the ground, he watched the ball the whole time.

Had Kobe not kicked out, he probably would have came down safely with more than one foot to balance himself when he landed.

Was Ibaka chopping Blake Griffin also totally fine to you?  Not worthy of an ejection and worth the same fine given to another player previously just for swearing at someone in the stands?

There was nothing wrong with this play.  I hate how when someone gets injured there has to be a foul or something dirty.  How is someone supposed to defend when someone can jump into the air and drift any which way?

Haha this was what I found the funniest. Headlines all over ESPN about Kobe's severely sprained ankle... I was like oh boy tough break for the Lakers... Then I watched the Jones play and saw Kobe up running around yelling at the officials... And I was like wait a second here... Somethings fishy.

People are just pointing out that Kobe is a huge hypocrite which you can't deny. ItIt's hard to take him seriously when he has done this along with several other dirty things in his history.

Hitting a guy on the arm when he shoots is a foul whether you do it on purpose or not.  So is being under a player so he doesn't have room to land. 

Under the rules, Jones fouled Kobe.  No two ways about it.  Somehow the Stern-mind controlled refs didn't call it despite their massive Laker bias, but that's a conspiracy to unravel later.  Only question is whether it was a dirty play or not, but there's no real argument whether it was a foul.

I do totally agree with everyone saying the "severe" injury is going to clear up real fast so the announcers can slobber over how tough Kobe is, though.  I'd be surprised if he wasn't back tonight.

LOL that's why i don't give a rat's butt abt this "whole NBA should be protecting the players thing" this happens a lot... Barbs got clotheslined which is dangerous.. but we don't hear that being sensationalized everywhere or Barbs complaining in the media...
