Barbosa is a guy who needs to do his own thing to be successful.  He looked terrible in his limited first half minutes because he was trying to be part of our structured offense.  Throughout his career, he is a guy who has shown he can be successful when he does his own thing.

In order for him to be successful, Doc needs to let him do his own thing and I think that means giving him a lot of minutes when Rondo is not on the floor.

I'd like to see guard combinations of:

Rondo paired with Lee or Bradley
Barbosa paired with Terry

Terry looked pretty bad out there with Rondo last night I thought.  I think Terry's at his best with the ball in his hands playing pick and roll basketball.  Rondo is absolutely useless offensively in that scenario.  So put Barbosa out there with Terry and if Terry isn't able to do his work, dish it off to Barbosa to.  It would be a pretty bad defensive pairing, but I think still able to outperform other teams' backups overall.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves his biggest flaw coincides with his biggest strength: He can shoot you back into games (like last night) and he can shoot you out of them.

first, nobody is getting ahead of themselves.....

he pushes the pace, can take it to the hoop, solid defender, and a pretty good shooter.  perfect for the role we want him to fill.

Doesn't Barbosa have better career shooting percentages than Terry?
Yeah he has a slightly better TS%. But not since he stopped playing alongside Steve Nash in Pheonix's run and gun offense.
Good thing he's playing with Rondo, right?

He didn't look terrible from what I saw. More non-existent but not doing the wrong things which is great considering he's been with the team for only a week.

Perfect. If he could do half what he did last night on a regular basis as a Rondo backup, perfect. We've needed something like this for ages I think.

Of course, it's just a sample size of one, and the 4th Q of a game where Miami let up a little bit, and Lebron was out....

Having said that, Barbosa should be in the rotation: Rondo/Lee/JET/Barbosa should all see time.  That's a nice 4-some, which becomes a crowded 5-some when AB comes back, at which point, Doc has a nice problem, i.e. an over-crowded back-court.   It could well be that one (or even two) get moved at the deadline for a talented front-court player....

As good as Rondo is and Nash is/was, it's not like either could get Terry open as easily as a Dirk screen did.  If I was going to worry about either, I'd be more worried about Terry's change in system/personnel than Barbosa's.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I think KG screens should be just as good if not better.

I think Doc was talking about this the other day and Terry has already anointed as the nest pick setting team in the league.

Terry will be fine, Barbosa, will be fine,  green will be fine. After One game at least we see that deep bench guys hopefully can produce if others arent
