Huh. I know there have been a lot of Ray threads, but this caught my eye.

Apparently Ray either kept this pressing issue from the Heat or they just didn't care. Either way, HA!

He said he never wanted to let on publicly how serious it was last season in Boston.

I applaud him for playing through it while here in BOS. And I pray for his recovery this season.

He could've shut himself down, or let Doc know whatever severity it may have been - but what does he do?

Still play through the pain.

True Winner.

Maybe whoever is guarding him can slide a foot under Ray Allen so that he lands awkwardly after a jumpshot.

I would assume that he didn't hide his ankle issues from Doc.

That is odd because every time he was asked about it he sure made it clear it was bothering him a lot. This wasn't much like KG who may well have had a major knee procedure and never acknowledged it.

Ive said here before that Ive gone through old Sonic blogs and from reading those Im not going to be shocked that Ray is awful this year and we all realize that Rondo carried him. I think he will be reduced to a statue of a jump shooter

I hate the cHeat, I dislike Ray joining them (I wanted him gone anyway or a lesser role. Not because I didn't like him, I just hated the way Doc used him at our expense), I hate that they cHeated (to get Brinda there when he was contractually obligated to the Cavs), and won a ring alongside their cronies, the refs... but as God is my witness, I wish NO injuries on him and I hope he recovers and is healthy for as long as he wants to play! Don't wish bad on people b/c the energy you put into that will come back to bite you!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

On LeBron's team, there are multiple spots for statues of jump shooters. Ray'll fit right in with the Jones/Miller role.

PLEASE stop with some of these posts on here - celebrating Ray's injury? :o

Seriously?

After Feb 19, 2009 and June 15, 2010 - I don't think we should be celebrating ANYONE's injuries....

Perk and KG going down probably cost BOS AT LEAST two rings.

But as a competitor you often try to play through these things, and it's not always good to do.

Especially at Ray's age.

Sorry but some of us aren't that "nice" and shouldn't be.  Nobody here is wishing him a serious injury but anything to make this guy realize he left a knife in our backs.  I really hope his run on the Heat is one big FAIL.  Call me heartless but that's the way it is
