Ray's a whining punk. We have the best PG in the league who creates open shots for all his teammates and gets the best shot available a vast majority of the time. Yet Ray complains that he isn't getting enough touches when he runs our offense into the ground by waiting him to run aroud all the screens for 10-15 secs just to actually get a open shot. He can't create his own shot or shots for others yet he is jealous that Rondo is running the show.

Good Riddance

Can't wait to see Bradley,Terry and Lee being able to create their own shots and go to the hoop without the clock running all the way down, and they are still very good 3 point shooters .

Bye Bye Ray you clown ( I know I know he almost got traded so he was mad . Guess what, PP,KG and Rondo were all being talked about in possible trades all year)

and no Ray you will not always be a true Celtic like Ray said in his Miami Press conference , you're a front running punk trader .

Preach on.

Not wanting to dwell on Ray the TRAITAH because I wanted to cut ties with him anyway so none of that creepy ex-girlfriend vibe is in play here.

BUT... JET is going to be a great fit for this team on the floor and the locker room. He seems to be cut out of the KG   cloth and is saying the right things about Rondo.

I think the chemistry on this team is going to be off the charts.

I agree. I think the trip to Europe will bond the rookies and new signings with the Big Three very similarly to 2008.

I look forward to a very cohesive unit very early on despite just 6 returning players from last year's playoff roster.

KG and Pierce have the locker room in check, and guys like Dooling and Terry will take care of the rest.

But as for all the Ray hate, why? The guy was great for us for 5 years. Yes he left us. For less money, no less. To make matters worse, to our biggest conference rival. But that doesn't take away what he did for us. For him to leave, you know things had to be terrible for him here.

I'm positive he loved playing for Doc, with KG and Pierce, in front of us fans and in this city. For him to leave all that and also forego the opportunity to cement his legacy and identity with a single team and have his number retired, you just have to believe it was killing him to be here.

I don't think it was Rondo, or his reduced role, or the trade rumors, the money, or the drooling over Terry. It was everything. Imagine you've been a great employee with a company for years. You are well respected by the bosses and subordinates. Your performance slips (say, because of the recession or something instead of age), and the company publicly demotes you, cuts your salary, hires a guy who does the same thing you do, and promotes a young hotshot who already gets under your skin.

Would you walk around with your head held high everyday? Would you turn down a lesser offer from a popular organization that fawned over you every opportunity they could? You can take your pride with you instead of having it torn from you little by little.

I don't blame "that guy" for leaving one bit. I just wish he didn't go where he went.

Also, look at the JET's 4th quarter and clutch stats on 82games. For the last 5 years, he's consistently in the top 15-20 players, there's no other Celtic that is above him except for Pierce last year.

I haven't had time to check the actual stats...Lord knows I'm glad to have Jet on our team, BUT:

Is he as clutch as Ray?

I posted some more detailed information about this a while back:

(In short, yes.)

Forget about Ray; he's with the enemy now. He had some nice years in Boston, but let's move on. See you on Oct. 30, son...

I really, really want too see the Jet take off against Miami on opening night. It would just be karma in its purest form.

Just to clear this up the dude on the shoe asked rondo "have you talked to Jesus?", to which Rondo replied "I talk to the Lord", then the host made it clear he was referring to Ray Allen to which Rondo then said "oh that guy". So its not like he just came out dissing him, he was actually realizing who the host was talking about.

Yeah, I agree.  I didn't take this as Rondo 'dissing' anyone.  He was just using casual conversation and basically saying, "Oh - THAT 'Jesus'!".

But as usual, people find it more interesting to make it into some sort of symptom of an intriguing personality conflict reflecting flaws in either Rajon's or Ray's character, or both.   SMH.

Man, I can't wait for training camp to start!

It was the result of poorly executed question. Seemed to confuse Rondo more than anything else.

I for one am not about to let anyone's "truth" or "clarification" get in the way of my Ray-bashing.
