People are really comparing K-Mart to Ben Wallace? That's a laugh.
Even at this stage in his career, Ben Wallace plays great D (he grabs lots of blocks and steals, but doesn't foul) and rebounds the ball like a machine. He even passes pretty well for a big man. He also doesn't turn the ball over. And while he doesn't score much, he grabs offensive boards with the best of them.
K-Mart isn't very good offensively. Look at his shooting splits, they are really bad. 44.1% from the field for a big man? 37% from the line? Wallace is just as bad, offensively, but doesn't take many shot attempts (4.2 per game). K-Mart takes 11.2 shots per game, but shoots just as poorly as Ben Wallace does. His career TS is 51% (average is 53), and last year was a 44.5%, which is pathetic. Defensively, K-Mart is good, but Ben Wallace is better. K-Mart fouls more and doesn't get as many blocks or steals. K-Mart is also a terrible passer and below average rebounder.
At least looking at their performance for last year, Ben Wallace is still better than K-Mart. Both are bad offensively, though K-Mart seems to think he is good so he takes a lot of shots and hurts his team, and Ben is better defensively.
