PG = Westbrook vs Steph Curry = advantage Boston
SG = Rip vs JR Smith = neutral
SF = Artest vs G-Wallace = neutral
PF = B.Griffin vs Gortat = advantage Boston
C  = M.Gasol vs P.Gasol = neutral

Bench
PG = DJ Augustin vs Lou Williams = advantage Washington
SG = G.Green vs C.Billups = uncertain
SF = S.Jackson vs M.Beasley = advantage Boston
PF = T.Robinson vs S.Novak = advantage Boston
C  = A.Gray vs S.Hawes = advantage Washington

Coach = Rudy T vs Mike Brown = advantage Washington

Rudy T has won two rings. He coached a sixth seed to a title. Mike Brown has been one of the most disappointing coaches in the NBA the past few years when considering the amount of talent he has had.

He killed Gasol last season with Bynum. While will he be better with Gortat and Gasol, Who?

Rudy T is unfit to coach due to health concerns. Incapable.

Are those considered? What about Pat Riley and Phil Jackson? Rudy T isn't in any worse situation then them for the most part.

I also ask that you consider the improvement factor. There is no reason to expect my big three won't have better seasons then they ever have had. They are all so young and talented that their arrows are still trending up.

HCA should be a factor as well.

Westbtook (32)\ Augustine (16)
Hamilton (29) \ Jackson (11) Westbrook ( 8 )
Artest (20) \ Jackson (17) \ Green (11)
Griffin (38) \ Artest (6) \ Robinson or Erden (4)
Gasol (38) \ Gray (7) \ Erden (3)
I think Artest should play a lot more minutes at SF. I would sync his playing time with Gerald Wallace's court time (32 minutes).

Maybe use Stephen Jackson as your backup power forward against Steve Novak.

I would also reduce DJ Augustin's playing time. I think you are better off staying big on the perimeter rather than trying to go small to matchup with Washington's small backcourts.

I think I referenced this a little on the first page.

Augustine comes in with Westbrook to maximize the advantage of having a smaller 2 guard on Russell. I don't want Rip or Jack defending Lou Williams. I don't like that matchup. I don't think Curry and Williams can play well together. Neither can guard Russell and I want  Russell making either of them working on both ends of the court.

I am going to Griffin all day that Novak is in at PF.

I don't know. I think it's up the individual to choose how they value stuff like that.

Rudy T was forced to retire due to health concerns and said he would unable to come back. Unless someone can point to something that has changed on that front ... I am unwilling to consider him as an able head coach.

And if someone can point to something where Rudy T says he is physically capable of coaching again, then I'll happily reconsider my stance. Always liked Rudy T.

I don't think DJ Augustin can defend Lou Will, Steph Curry or Billups any better than Rip Hamilton can. I would go with Rip's size and length ... more importantly, his team defense + ability to create a mismatch on the other end.

I don't think Washington will ever leave Novak on Blake Griffin.

Who,

Fair enough. But it sounds like it was the obsession that he didn't like. He mentions the in-between. He loved the moment. The game consumed him though and he didn't like it, but doesn't consume everyone?

My memory of it was that Rudy T had a life threatening condition (heart disease?) and that due to his health he was physically unable to handle the stress involved with the day to day lifestyle of being an NBA Head Coach.

Why he retired from coaching and hasn't looked (to my knowledge) to return in that capacity since then. Instead worked in the less stressful role as an NBA scout for the LA Lakers.

As for Augustine. You are right. Boston will adjust the minutes. Didn't realize how dramatic Hamilton's Rating defensively was to DJs. I also like running Curry or Williams off screens.

Novak will play PF when Griffin is not playing, we have now put Blair to play 10 minutes at PF.

Yeah, I think they'll just have to make sure Pau Gasol is in there to defend him. Sync their minutes up together. Use Gortat and Hawes against Marc Gasol and Boston's backup centers.

Steve Novak certainly cannot defend Blake Griffin. That would be a massacre.

Why not play Michael Beasley at PF? He is a better PF than either Novak or Blair.

So novak plays like ten minutes? It really doesn't matter. I am fine with playing pick and roll and demanding a switch with Novaks man.

Pierce and Rondo do this to PGs all the time. I will utilize it with Russell an Novaks man. Russell is very good at hitting the 18 footer if they go underneath on the switch. I will attack Novak. Make sure of that.
