Am I counting the votes right? Just 16 total votes? Come on guys? If you are a GM you gotta vote.

13 GMs voted in the Western playoffs.  11 didn't.
That's disappointing. I thought we had really good turnout last year for the playoff voting too. I wouldn't have expected that with mostly the same group of guys.

DL, You're voting before hearing the arguments?

Question: How many people look over the teams, make their decision of the winner, read the arguments from the two(or more) GMs and then change their mind?

I honestly am not sure if reading through the head to head matchup debates has ever changed my mind because I get to know the teams well enough through reading the pressers.

I'd say I'm swayed by the arguments in maybe one series per round.  I try to read as much as possible, but I've got to admit, the Washington / Boston series beat me down.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

I think that the voting/arguments past the press conferences are a bit cumbersome. I definitely lose steam around week 3 of this game. Maybe next year we stop after playoff seeding to reduce burnout?
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

i did today bc i wasnt sure if i would be able to get back on to the blog today.  i read what was presented up until i submitted my vote. i typically read the arguments, but i find my first hunch to be the most accurate in my assessment. that, and i read the pressers

I honestly haven't noticed much of a change from year to year participation level aside from a pronounced lack of drama. Maybe that's what keeps it interesting for some people? But as a community exercise that has often sparked the violation of numerous site rules, it seems weird to end it after the most civilized year.

I apologize for not voting, I was so busy this week. I could barely sneak on to post my arguments.

I presume it's tonight. The Conference Finals are meant to be tomorrow according to first post on this thread.
