i think this trade makes the 76ers dangerous. imagine Bynum and Hawes on the floor at the same time  :o

Yeah, that's suddenly a brutally slow lineup with limited floor spacing.

...

Philadelphia gets Andrew Bynum and moves Igoudala (who is talented but too expensive and redundant on their roster), so they have clear motivation to make this deal.
...

They also get Jason Richardson.

He's pretty average at this point in his career.  According to his PER, very average.

If the Lakers get Howard while only giving up Bynum and a late 20's first round pick, that's just shocking.

Just an absurdly bad trade for Orlando.  I can't believe the Lakers can get that done without giving up Gasol.  Unreal.  If true, I'm penciling in the Lakers for the Finals now.

The Lakers were never going to trade both Bynum and Gasol. Why would they make a trade that makes their team worse in their star player's final few years?  That would have made no sense.

Orlando should've taken Bynum.  Or found better prospects than what they got from Houston or someone else.

Can't blame the Lakers for offering Bynum.  As an individual player, that's the best Orlando was going to get.  Except they didn't get him . . . Orlando botched this one badly. Lakers, 76ers, Nuggets made the right moves.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
Why do the Lakers have to be relevant all the time???

Imagine a league where LA is either first-round fodder or just plain terrible.  Seems like that'll never happen...

The fact that they don't have to give up Gasol is totally ridiculous.  Completely unfair.

All we can hope for now is having Kobe jacking up 30 shots a game.

How can they not give up Pau? How? The Lakers get these absurd trades every single time, every single year, it's **** nonsense.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I didn't realize Andrew Bynum was such a horrible basketball player. Geez.

Orlando...just wow.

I seriously can't take a Heat/Lakers Finals next year (they're already announcing it in the media before the season has started) so please Celtics come out next year and get banner 18.

We got Fab Melo, the next best center in the league(maybe, hopefully).
but seriously, i don't think DH is that much better than Bynum.

They would've never given up both Pau and Bynum.  You are dreaming.

Why would they make their team worse?  The Lakers aren't stupid.  You really think two top 5-10 big men is the price for the top big man?  No way were the Lakers ever going to do that.

I really don't care. I'm more concerned about east teams.

Seems Orlando couldn't get much leverage with Howard deciding he won't sign an extension.

All the Lakers give up is Bynum? This is ridiculous.
