Roster
C: Duncan (28)/ Dalembert (20)/ Hollins (garbage)
Pf: West (32)/ Mbah A Moute( 8 )/ Allen ( 8 )
SF: Hill (22)/ Mbah A Moute (23)/ CJ Miles (3)
SG: Kobe (34)/ George Hill (10) / CJ Miles (4)
PG: George Hill(25)/ Jason Kidd (20)/ Reggie Jackson (3)
Coach: Phil Jackson
Why did you decide to change your starting lineup?
To play Grant Hill ahead of Mbah a Moute.
Well I think in the end Mbah and Hill will be splitting the playing time, but I thought ending the game and begining the game were areas where Hill could help me most. Help the other players get into an offensive groove early and help facilitate things late.
I liked Mbah a Moute there because he is a very athletic and a top notch defender.
Your lineup gets quite old and slow with Grant Hill in there. Sort of like the Celtics were before Avery Bradley came into the team. I wonder if Mbah a Moute can't offer you more as a starter than as a reserve.
Plus, when playing SF, the more minutes Mbah a Moute can get alongside jump-shooting bigs like Tim Duncan and David West the better ... due to his own limitations offensively. They'll help balance out his weaknesses.
I hear you but like I said, they will be splitting the minutes, Mbah will get plenty of time with the starters and will be on the floor in offense/defense situations towards the end of games.
To be honest it may have more been a respect thing as to why I have Hill in there with the starters. But Mbah will get his playing time and a good amount of it. 31 Minutes which is more than he has played so far in his career. He will be a big part of our team
