Atlanta:

I like what Dalembert and Mbah a Moute bring to the table off your bench, but why should i be convinced that the latter can play an effective 31 minutes per game on a playoff team? Will his limited offensive skillset get exposed in that amount of time? Will it effect his defensive intensity?

Washington:

Dejaun Blair.  I don't know what to make of him or the way in which G-Pop utilized him last season.  He played an average of 7 minutes per game in the playoffs.  Tell me why he is the primary backup over Steve Novak?

Well Novak will be playing both the 3 and the 4 but we like Blair being the primary backup as in 21 minute he average 9.5 PPG 5.5 RPG and 1.2 APG and in the playoffs he only played 7 minutes but he still averaged some pretty good numbers 3.7 PPG and 2.3 RPG

I think my team has enough offensive fire power to use Mbah as a player in the tony allen/Avery bradley mold but for bigger players.  My team has enough scoring that we can afford having a guy out there strictly for defensive purposes.

Also Mbah is a pretty good finisher close to the basket, he had a efg% of .669 on shots close to the basket, in comparison a guy like KG had an efg% of .624 on those same shots.  I think his offense will mostly come on cuts coming out of the triangle offense with passes coming from duncan in the post.  I would say probably in the neighborhood of 6-8 ppg.

Also, Mbah has average between 6-8 points every year of his career in about 25mpg so I don't think Im asking too much of him here.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.

Washington, a hypothetical: Stephen Curry misses a 20-game stretch with a mild ankle sprain, and Chauncey Billups still isn't recovered yet from his major injury. How does that affect your rotation? How does that affect your win total?

Interesting stats:
Steve Novak: #2 in True Shooting % #1 in 3pt%

Lou Williams: Second Place for Sixth Man of the Year, 5th place in Assist per Turnover Ratio, 9th place for PER for point guards.

You think this makes him a positive in your rotation?

How do you think playing SF will effect the above stats you cite.

I'd say it significantly hurts your win total. And that's the conclusion I reached before I traded Curry (and I bet its the one Roy reached too): He's gonna miss games.

Not really...you've got Jameer Nelson.

Chauncey Billups, before he was injured, had become a better 2 guard than a 1. You put Chauncey next to Jason Terry, or Monta Ellis, a SG in a PG's body. Now, any kind of hope that Billups can guard the 1 is just a thing of the past in my mind.

I do think that you've got something good working with a Lou Williams/Chauncey backcourt, but again, we're talking about a 36 year old man coming off of achillies surgery. Elton Brand did it at age 28, and never got back to the elite player he was before he heard the pop, and he still took off basically an entire season.

Why does ESPN's playercard matter?

He played PF (15 MPG PF compared to 3 MPG at SF) to achieve the TS% numbers you cite, and when playing at SF he's consistently shot worse than his career best year last year.

What kind of season does gortat have without playing with nash?

You have zero all star players. Pau gasol is the man. The last two seasons he has been under a lot of scrutiny. Kobe repeatedly called him out and his track record as the best player on a team is not good. He by far is your best player, so tell me why on this team he can take this team to a title?

Also how many minutes are Williams and smith planning to play together?

For his career he is a .436 % from downtown which is not bad at all if anything it is great so it isnt going to make a difference

Kobe shot the ball at an amazing rate last year. How do you ensure the ball is spread out more so west and Duncan are consistently more involved then Bynum and gasol were at times. Kobe loves hero ball but that seems to be a detriment now to his teams at this point in his career.

I think a big part of it is having him go back into a structured offense.  He took an average of 3 more shots per game last year than he had in the past 4 years.  Also, last year he lost a great ball mover in Lamar Odom and had a couple of sub par PG's playing along side of him.

Grant Hill will replace Lamar Odom.  Grant is another great ball mover at the SF spot and Duncan will be passing out of the low Post which he is phenomenal at.  I think this team will be very good at spreading the ball around and keeping everybody happy.

I think I have balanced out Kobe well, he is obviously a shot taker, but I surrounded him with several unselfish players with good leadership qualities.
