Roy's a lawyer, he gets paid to argue. I admire his research and his creativity.

Roy hobbs is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.

... and he sure could hit a baseball.

Yeah, somehow I don't see myself voting the Lakers through to the Finals.  Stranger things have happened, though.

I AM SHOCKED!
I have made a decision on how I am going to decide who I vote for this year.

Once the Boxers have secured their last place finish in the Western Conference, I have decided rather than doing what I do every year, which is read all the pressers, ask questions of the GMs in the pressers, comment on the teams, ask questions during the playoff matches, direct the playoff matchups and strategies and make the best, most unbiased decision I can on each matchup, I'm just gonna do this

This shocked?

Like, I got amnestied for Nick Young shocked?

I think that's Brand's "I'm getting paid $18 million and now I get to play for a contender?" face.

Lol at the change of opinion on this board what a joke i love the people attempting to make a trade than bash him... ahhh celticsblog

At the same time...  you're trying to trade him, so there must be *something* you don't like about the guy.

Perhaps it could be that, and I'm an Ellis guy, there's no way he'd work well alongside Durant?

If you can't work well beside Durant -- an elite superstar, but also a guy who is a great and often deferential teammate -- who can you work well beside?

Personally, I'm not quite as high on Durant as others. He'll become incredible, but I don't think he's there yet. He doesn't move well without the ball, and he's too deferential.

It's probably a more legit way of doing it, at least once you get to the Semi-Final stage.

Elton Brand went from a team that had high character guys that went to the 2nd round, to a team with -- granted, Dirk, but-- a fair amount of knuckleheads that went out in the 1st round. that kind of logic makes you believe you're the best big in basketball.

Regarding the whole "Elton Brand: Statistically the best player since Chamberlain" thing, didn't Gerald Green last year prove that statistically he is a legitimate NBA player?

The reason I ask this is because I think he's a mental midget, BBIQ speaking and a farce of a player that will be back in the NBDL in no time.

So statistically, anything is possible in basketball, I guess.

All that said, I still think Dallas has the best team this year and will be voting that way. Thing is, I would bet money they don't win it all.

I just love how a player is stuck in a bad situation in his career and deemed a loser and team killer.. YET He was one of the better players on the team that beat the mavs a few years back. Since then the warriors took that team apart at the seems. He also won MIP that year since then he has been a scoring machine. But yes he isn't on the Celtics and has been on a crappy team for years so he is a team killer, Oh yeah he also got in an off-season accident. So of course he'll never amount to anything.
