The bad thing here is that AB won't be available.

But I'm sure he'll get reacquainted with Wade later on in the season.

Can't hide forever, Wade.

There is wade kicking out that lead leg again..

lol..I missed that.

Dirk started that mess, then Kobe picked it up and now Wade.

I hope the officials rule on that next season.

Karl Malone wants a recount.

I stand corrected. ;D

I always remember because I lifted that move from Karl in HS.  Not kicking people in the junk, just lifting my knee in front of me when I shot off the dribble.

It was...unpopular.  But effective.

Interesting.  I expected them to save that for Christmas.  I wonder if they will have that same game for opening night and Christmas, or if they will do something else for Christmas?  Maybe Lakers/Heat?

XMas will be Lakers/Heat I'd bet.  We'll play somebody like the Thunder or the Knicks.  Maybe even the Nets in the early game.

Good call.  I hope it C's/Knicks at MSG.  Games at MSG are always so much fun.

Hey, whatever works.

If the refs don't call it, then it's no foul, right?

The drama will be so thick that night.

Ray Allen vs his old team.

MIA vs the team that gave them their best challenge in the post-season.

MIA vs a "reloaded" Celtics team.

Can't wait.

Plus the C's get to sit there and watch as the Miami players get their rings and hoist a banner up.  Talk about some motivation!

Either way, the result won't really matter since a win or loss in October holds little significance on what happens in April.

True.

I'd still love for BOS to smack em' around a bit, though...open the season on a great note.

If we lose embrace yourselves for "the sky is falling" threads, KG's game has declined were now too old, The Jets mentally still in Dallas, Rondo didn't work on his jumper over the offseason etc  ;D

You betcha.

We're already seeing those now, even though they make for great discussion.

Agreed.  I'd like nothing more than for the C's to completely and utterly demoralize/pulverize the Heat on opening night, especially while they and the entire arena are all still flying high on getting their rings.  That would be incredibly fulfilling, even if it doesn't hold any significance on what lays ahead for both teams.

Ha! I hadn't thought of that.  TP.

One of the reasons I love the off-season is how much more reasonable people are here on the boards.  It's nice to get a little bit of a reprieve from the over reactionary/unrealistic threads, both positive and negative, that inundate this place during the season.

Be honored to be playing in a spotlight game on Opening Night.

It means you're still relevant.  Same goes for the Xmas games.

Savor it now.  It wasn't always that way and its not always going to be this way in the future.
