I'd wish it's just a camp invite/non guaranteed contract. But Danny knows lots of things we don't know, so we'll see how it plays out.

He can be useful in short spurts against the right opposition.  Can probably help a bit with defending Lopez in Brooklyn, Hibbert in Indiana, and the Lakers should we play them.

Only useful in small stretches against certain teams, which is better than Shelden who was never useful at all.

Jason Collins?!? Why Danny WHY!?!

Excellent news. A physically strong post defender who can give the team some minutes against bigger front-lines. Did a very nice job on Dwight Howard in the past.

Not as strong a rebounder as a Magloire or Dampier but has better feet ... more mobility defensively. So lose some rebounding to gain some more defensive range.

I know you were hoping for a big, strong defender type  -- and I guess Jason fits the bill, albeit not a thrilling pickup.   His twin brother has had an amazingly similar career.  Maybe we can get him too and get 10MPG and 12 fouls from the Collins brothers.

C'mon, now..lol

Guy hasn't even played a minute yet.

He'll do well in BOS.

Throw Danny under the bus in June if we don't win it all, but at least give the guy some time next to KG and with a veteran team, first.

Legit 7 footer, career journeyman. Vet minimum salary.

He may not be a flashy, impact signing, but he definitely fills a need.

Guy has made an 11-year career out of hard work. He's going to back up the backup at C. What's your problem with him?

Really?? I'm usually optimistic about our signings, but this one leaves me baffled. I'm really going to miss Stiemsma, if this is his replacement.

It is interesting how much the Celtics prioritize defensive range over rebounding (Sheed, JO, Hollins, Collins).

Experienced, Warm body, 7 ft tall, 6 fouls,  won't play 10 minutes a game unless its an emergency who cares?  He'll do .  He won't eff up chemistry like Andray Blatche.

collins never leaves the ground, even for rebounding.
