No. Can people please stop thinking we're trading our most valuable young asset not named Rajon Rondo? This guy has got a lot of Joe Dumars in him. Elite defensively and coming into his own on offense. And he's only 21. Bradley may very well be the last guy Danny is thinking of trading. Even with Courtney Lee on the team.

Do people forget he was averaging 15 points a game in April when he was inserted into the starting lineup for good? How are you not excited for that for a whole season? Bradley and Rondo are arguably the best young backcourt duo in the league!

i read somewhere that his shoulder problems could be chronic, and so it would somewhat make sense to trade him before they debilitate his career and stock too severely.

Sac would never trade Cousins for Bradley.

Jonas (Vala-whoever) has proven less than Bradley, so, no.

maybe not 1 for 1, but thats never how danny works. 2 or 3 for 1 plus picks, maybe...

Bradley is coming off double shoulder surgery.

He is far more valuable to us than he would be to a team taking a chance on his health right now.

If AB plays this season looking fully healed AND he continues to progress as he has, Danny may sell high.

Danny will never sell low right now.

I seriously doubt there is any package of players the C's could come up with to aquire Cousins.  At least not one that would be palatable.

So then why would another team trade for him knowing he has those problems?

Bradley is here to stay get use to it. Why get rid of a guy that can single handedly lock down on D WADE. Talk about stupid.

And his shoulder problems might not be chronic. Plus no team would take a chance on balky shoulders if that was the case. Considering what doctors have done to help Kobe's old knees, I would say there could be help yet for Bradley's shoulders.

avery is the best defender of d wade in the game right next to maybe 1 or 2 other people. Why would we give him up for a big slow lumbering center, in a game where centers are becoming irrelevant?

He might get traded, but not this year.  We'll probably have no more than a couple hundred thousand dollars of wiggle room with the apron, and there are few players making less than Bradley who would be acquirable and fit our team needs any better.  Next offseason, it's not impossible, but I'd be shocked if it happened this year.

Doc and Ainge have designated Bradley as their starter for the long term because he and Rondo make probably the scariest defensive backcourt in the league.

Chances of Pierce getting amnestied next year are greater than Bradley getting traded this year. Nothing points to it. He's young, unbelievably athletic, cheap, extremely coachable, has tremendous form as a shooter, is smart and getting better. Worst thing you do with players like that is trade them.

Way off on your Tradar, home skillet. He's 21, paid in peanuts, and a beast in the making.

Exactly why he could possibly fetch a lot through trade.

I think the OP makes a lot of sense, it's something I've thought about already myself.

If we could trade something like Bradley + Melo + Bass for a Marc Gasol or Hibbert type center, I think we would have to.  (while obviously those teams wouldn't do that deal at this time)

Okay, so I see your point. You're scared of Bradley's shoulders being made of glass and we see his career tumble because of chronic shoulder problems, which may or may not happen.

The problem is no team would take that chance of trading value for someone who could very well have his career ruined by injuries. Especially when those injuries have just occurred. I don't think even Pat Riley could sell that.

Plus, Bradley's shoulders may not even be a problem, and he could be Rondo's running mate that he's always wanted. Bradley already is one of the best perimeter defenders in a league that is now populated with quick and athletic guards (Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, and Derrick Rose come to mind). Last season his offense was starting to come to form and he showed why people think he could be as good as Joe Dumars. The upside on this guy is quite high. I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

Another reason why the shoulders might not be a problem for Avery is that now Courtney Lee is on the team. Lee isn't as good as Absolute Zero, but he can definitely fill in for him because of his perimeter defense and his athleticism and 3 point shooting too. Lee doesn't have the upside Bradley does, but what he does is make Bradley's absence much easier to swallow. With him in the fold, we can have Bradley take as much time as he needs to fully recover. There's no rush to bring him back into the rotation.
