  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Trade:

Cleveland Trades: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kenneth Faried, Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Lin

Houston trades: Carmelo Anthony, Mario Chalmers

Some thoughts here:

Carmelo Anthony is a terrible curse that both leaves the team that takes him worse off than they were before, but makes the team he's going to worse than they were before. Nobody ever select Melo ever.

Yoki traded a garden of vegetables and a few cows and chickens he could've turned into a beautiful dinner one day for a medium Oreo Blizzard from Dairy Queen.

Nick has been on peyote since the 4th round. This sells it for me.
Last year I think the Knicks used Melo correctly for the first time in his career. He is best in a running system as a stretch 4.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Wow, that is a big trade. Going to need to take a few minutes to that in.

Definitely interested to see how the rosters shake out for those two especially to see where Houston is at now.

Yoki could roll out this starting lineup:

PG: Chalmers
SG: Roy
SF: Rush
PF: Melo
C:  Bogut

Bench: Fisher, Jason Smith, Kenyon Martin, Jerryd Bayless, Drummond

He'll need to hire a team of shaman priests and lock his team in a hyperbaric chamber on off nights to keep them healthy, but that has potential.

Holy crap does that team look good in 2009.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Scratch the shamans and hyperbaric chamber, and pool all resources into time-travel technology, Yoki.

Hated my team. Said I was going to blow it up.

Understand something people, last year I had to defend LeBron to try and win and even though Rondo and I had the best team, we lost. Didnt even make the Finals. Defending LeBron, a player and person I loathe, still makes me feel violated.

So I wasnt going to defend another team I didnt like and I happen to love the young players I have so we wont win anything, but I am going to have a ball doing my presser and answering questions about my team.

And in 2-3 years....we may be the real life Thunder.

Still using Melo at 3.

Everyone will get out of his way. And play defense for him. Genius battle plan.

I can see the appeal there, and I think its a bold choice. You weren't gonna win the title with the original incarnation of your squad, so I understand the move. Maybe not the 'blow up' I would've expected, but I get it.

I especially understand 'LeBron Fatigue'.

You have the same debate 100x, and nobody changes their minds.
