All that said, i think Rubio adds a lot more to this team than Leonard takes away.  Howard, Johnson, and Milsap should rest well tonight...

Rubio is a beautiful enabler offensively for Dwight Howard, Joe Johnson and Paul Millsap.

I love how he'll create high percentage scoring opportunities for those guys. Tie everything together and make you a (dangerously) cohesive team offensively. Very difficult to defend against with Rubio pulling the strings.

I don't like this trade for either team, but at least NYK now has a very convincing case for TOTF.

Next summer can we do away with the Team of the Future? It's just a hook savvy gms use to motivate otherwise lopsided trades. The vote gets held two weeks after everybody has stopped caring and garners what 10 votes?

I think it should be held immediately after the regular season gets done, but some people like doing this kind of stuff. Some people like building a team for the future.

I think Westbrook and Blake Griffin is a very potent 1-2 punch.

I am a big fan of Kwahi Leonard as a glue guy. I dislike your starting SG spot still. Perk is a serviceable starter. I can see BBD having a big role there to provide some big man jump-shooting.

The most effective OKC lineups featured James Harden, not only because Harden is a lethal offensive player, but also because Harden kept the ball moving and facilitated the offense.

Which is important because Russell Westbrook isn't all that great at doing that. If you've seen the team Nick had before (which again, I liked)

Westbrook/Curry was kind of a perfect setup, because Curry can be a spot shooter and can pass, so effectively he's playing the Harden, just not as versatile and with a better jumper.

Westbrook/Brooks or Westbrook/Brewer means ball movement is goin no-where.
