Thanks, I couldn't find it in the pages of controversy surrounding Cleveland's latest panic trade. I did read what Who wrote about Kenneth Faried and I don't like it.

Kenneth Faried was worth twice as many WP than either Thaddeus Young or rookie of the year Kyrie Irving. He drew 5.7 FTA per 36 (or almost as many free throw attempts a game as Dwyane Wade). His TS% was 61.8%. He grabbed almost twice as many rebounds (12.2 per 36) as Young (6.7) and scored the same number of points (16.4) with three fewer shots. The only reason he a wasn't in the conversation for rookie of the year is because George Karl refused to play him in favor of worse veterans - JaVale "Extra E" McGeee, Al Harrington, Kosta Kofous.

Faried does need to improve defensively outside of the paint. He was mistake prone and among the worst bottom 20% of perimeter defenders in the NBA.

If Nick can trade Westbrook for star player at a non-PG position, I think this trade will work out very well for him.

Nice move for Brooklyn too. I didn't like Rose + Curry together. This will work better.

Nice trade for Nick. George is a nice player with lots of potential, but Curry and Chandler have the highest win-now stock and really solidify his depth there. The Nets didn't make out too badly either - getting out from under Curry's injury concerns for a freak SG like George is still worthwhile. Shumpert's short resume and ACL tear concern me a little about him, but he's still a legit talent.
