Wasn't crazy about the Philly trade for them, but Pierce + Millsap + 3 third rounders could be a very nice balanced starting lineup if those third rounders are drafted well.
That's my plan. Millsap was just as productive as Aldridge minus some scoring. Better rebounder for a small guy.
I swapped very similar players and moved my three future picks way down to target the last group of useful players. I like the trade.
Millsap is 6'8 with shoes on, really closer to 6'6. LaMarcus Aldridge is a legit 6'10 who can defend either frontcourt spot and score from 15 feet on in basically on anyone.
So you're saying Millsap wears high heels on the court?
(And height w/o shoes on really doesn't matter because he's playing the game w/ shoes on. It can generally affect wingspan, which is important, but even that can vary.)
But I absolutely agree that there is a significant difference between Aldridge and Millsap outside of their statistics in favor of Aldridge. If a team tries to play an undersized defender against Aldridge, you can make them pay by lobbing the ball to him on the low post and he will make a short turn around jumper/baby hook right over the top of his defender. Defensively, taller PFs (like Pau, KG) cannot do that over Aldridge, but could do that over Millsap.
I also second IP's claim that Aldridge is a guy you can isolate on offense whereas I haven't seen Millsap do that as effectively.
