Trading back isn't a bad strategy.  Trading back for a very modest gain in the 2nd and 3rd *IS* a bad strategy.

If somebody isn't gaining an extra pick in the 1st four rounds by moving back, it's probably a bad deal for them.

Maybe I'm just being a contrarion today, but I think if you've got a bunch of guys ranked fairly close, I don't see the harm in moving back just for a few swaps. I did it a bunch of times last year, and its a strategy that would've worked if this blog had voted intelligently.

Also, I'm looking to move the 12th pick since I have a meeting that may make me late (or push me into picking during the lunch break). Anyone who is interested in moving up should get in touch!

Check your PM good sir

I'm not sure that was good value for Philly. Seven spots in the 1st is worth a lot more than seven spots in two later rounds.  As I suspect you know.  ;)

Wow, almost forgot this was going by the Eastern time zone. Phew, that was a close one.

Obviously, it's not preferable, I'd much rather gain a pick. But push comes to shove if I can't decide between a bunch of guys I'd rather not pick just to pick.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Everyone is trading their 1st rounders. If I could have known I should've rigged the lottery like in 1984.  ;D ;D ;D

14 mins until his pick is due and no sign of Big Al the Future...

Per the rules --- for any new GMs --- Wdleehi will "autopick" the best available player for the team and look for a new GM.

Hopefully BATF swoops in and this is all moot.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Alright, I have to run to a meeting so I will likely have to make my pick in the lunch break. I apologize in advance for causing a delay there, and I look forward to your abject scorn in the meantime because I already hate all of you sooooo much.

The 12th is still available, but since I'll be gone it'll be about an hour before I can get back to you. Or, if you're Wiggle, I am just ignoring you out of spite.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.
