I disagree about Splitter. We can get into that later.

I agree Vucevic isn't there yet, but he still played 16 minutes a night for the best defense statistically in basketball last season, and played it often next to smaller defenders like Thad Young or LaVoy Allen.

Not that he's the next coming of Andrew Bogut or anything, just that he's a 7 foot rookie who is 21 years old and has already played some meaningful minutes on a playoff team. With Brand gone next season, I wouldn't be surprised if he managed 25 minutes or so a night.

I would. Young has to get minutes and they just drafted Moultrie. Allen's minutes will see a definite spike.

You should have took that attitude earlier, before you started blowing things up. ;)  At one point, you had the best team in the league.

Yeah man, that could happen too.

It is destined Roy, that you and I shall discuss this further. I had Stephen Curry's injured butt and zero depth.

I got depth, baby. I got Jrue Holiday, I got depth, and I bought you a personalized ticket to Loser-town!

Yeah, I know. I can still see the tears running down Kenneth Faried's face at night sometimes from when I told him he was traded. He took it hard. Him and Chris Bosh were bonding, Bosh was gonna re-grow his dreds.

Those Friday night dread-braiding parties were going to be so totally awesome. Screenings of "The Notebook" and "Steel Magnolias" and a pitcher of peach margaritas between them. Great bonding opportunity gone by the wayside.

You have Mr. Addition By Subtraction (Darko).  If you count that as depth, good luck, my friend.  Edgar is going to run roughshod on you come press conferences.

Edgar doesn't even know what the word roughshod means, Roy!

(Although I bet he thinks it s a sex thing. That guy's mind, it just goes to weird places.)

I like Vucevic.

Good feet / mobility (very important to me) combined with legitimate height / length at 7 feet with a 7 foot 4.5 inch wingspan. Got pushed around a bit last year but he was only a rookie (not exactly unusual for a rookie big man). He weighed in at 260lbs at the combine so it looks like he'll be able to have some heft in addition to his other good physical attributes.

Vucevic has the early stages of a solid offensive game with a jump-shot out to 17-18 feet. Moves well around the paint and can finish at the rim. Should be a well-skilled role player at center offensively.

His rebounding was good. His defense was poor but good mobility, legit size and possibly strength should help him improve as he gets more experience.

I expect Vucevic to become one of the best backup centers in the league + possibly a starter down the road.

I am very concerned about his playing time heading into next year though with Kwame Brown coming on board. Between Kwame and Hawes, there isn't much playing time left over for Vucevic. He is really going to have a make a big leap to win court time next year.

Depending on Arnett Moultries development I think you could see him at Center and Lavoy Allen at PF sometimes.

Or more likely Allen at Center and Young at PF.
