Oh well he didn't want to be here anyway, so if we don't land Lee then what's it looking like? I heard Dahntay Jones? Pietrus?  :-\
Here's my personal list
1. Lee
2. CJ Miles
3. Pietrus
4. D. Jones
5. Shannon Brown
6. Jodi Meeks
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

  • GOT IT!!!
Now that Dallas' cap room is kaput, maybe they'll be ready to putt the trigger on the JET S and T.

The Mavs don't have Terry's Bird rights any more (they had to renounce them), so any S&T must be with their cap space.

Unless Terry is somehow part of this transaction (three way deal, for instance), then the chances of Terry being signed-and-traded here are pretty much zero.

I really really hope so.

yeah just on ainge, he can't resign ray, can't trade for mayo(twice, now and at the deadline), and don't forget couldn't resign tony a few years ago. :( don't think selling players on their future with the team and attracting FA is strong suit for ainge.

I still like him as the GM.

He was asking for more then the MLE. We offered him the MLE. Dallas has less then the MLE. Surely it's some kind of S+T deal. I just wonder if we are involved in it.

I think the Celtics would gladly outbid other teams in a lot of instances, if the cap rules allowed us to.  Unfortunately, they don't.

Hmmmm. Don't the Mavs have a Trade Exception from the Lamar Odom trade? If so they might have used that.

So you don't like the Jason Terry signing?

I personally love it, but I think undersized chucker applies to him much more than to Mayo or most guys in the league.

I wonder if Dallas freed up the cap room to sign Mayo by renouncing Terry.  I hope not because I was hoping a sign and trade that would allow Ainge to offer Lee the MLE was still possible.

yea well we have been tied up with our core guys for a while, it just always seems were looking to get guys only on the cheap and on short 1-2 year deals so they mostly look elsewhere (Green aside). not mad at Ainge though he's been great overall it's why we're in great position to contend time and time again.

"Undersized chucker" is probably a bit unfair for Mayo.  He's a pretty good sized chucker.

It's been reported that the Mavs already renounced their Bird rights on Terry.
