He hated being on the bench for the pistons when he was 18.

I can't see him wanting to come here to play little and I can't really see our team being too excited to bring a guy like that on.

Not too mention he's a very average player

I wonder if there's a chance the C's give Stiemer an offer for the bi-annual--if he takes it immediately. A definite 2 x $2M in Boston could have appeal versus a possible $3M per in Minny, depending I suppose on how long the Minny deal would be for.

In that Laker game he had 25pts,16rebs, 5ast & 6blks. When he is playing confident & the coach is confident in him, he is a definite force. I like the block shot element & 7ft 260. He also runs well! Sign me up!

As far as Darko goes, whatever as long as it's for veteran minimum (if that's case) but wouldn't you rather just have back Greg Stiemsma?

I'd take Darko over Steamer myself. Superior defender against strong players and superior pick and roll defender. I don't see where you got this "much better, no contest really" idea from.

Most of the flack Darko gets is for his draft position and the big contracts he's been given. People should focus on what he actually brings, and he's quite the solid defender.

That said, his work ethic has been questioned, as that's my only concern.

Paired with KG most people look like better defenders. Give Darko that chance. Besides he would come cheaper than Stiems (even if I want Stiemmmmmmmsssss back). Stiems should take all the money he can get, if I were him I would. It's not like he will ever get superstar money... take what you can, while you can! Also, if he doesn't play like he did here/pre-injury... it's best to take the 3m (if it's truly offered).
