Was Ray Allen ever truly a Celtic?  If he was, he would have embraced the 6th Man role.  He didn't.

He would have thought about finishing out his career here(at double the pay) in order to get his number in the rafters.  He didn't.

He would have had enough respect for the Celtics' owner (who rescued his career by bringing him to Boston) by returning his phone calls.  He didn't.

Ray Allen was never a Celtic.  He was a hired gun who played one third of his career here - someone who chose to become a basketball vagabond because his delicate feelings were hurt.

Go to hell, Ray Allen.

I agree don't get why so many people defend him. In real life if i left my current job to work for a competitor for half the price i would expect my current company to hate me. I would also expect fans and supporters of the company to hate me. This would be true even if i didn't get along with one of my coworkers, even if my job security had been tenuous at times or if i had had my role changed over the course of my time there. I would get why they would hate me.... whats so hard about that.

Half of me thinks he looked like he fit right in with the HEAT. Half of me thought he looked so out of place. I still can't wrap my head around Ray being a Miami Heat.

Anybody remember Antoine Walker? (I might.) That guy LOVED playing in Boston even when the Celtics were terrible. The joke was on him. Ainge managed to dump him twice.

I guess I have to start giving Riley some credit for appreciating our guys more than we do.

Wow, what line of work are you in?

P.S. We're trading you to DetroitBadBoys.com for a guy named "Roll the Dyess."

Seriously. Even in business "it's not just business".

By the way, we just brought in a guy who does the same thing as you do, but don't worry, this has nothing to do with that time we tried to get rid of you last Spring. It's just insurance in case, you know, we try to get rid of you this Spring.

Ray's defection: Nothing business, strictly personal.

Ray was well within his rights to leave and we are well within our rights to dislike him for it.

Was always the third member of the Big 3.

Last year, he was the 4th member of the Big 4.

Half of me thinks he will be a great fit for the Heat.

Half of me thinks he will be out for the season by mid-year due to injury.

The problem is, you'd be a free agent, which -- as far as I can tell from reading posts around here -- is a magical status, and everything you do is supposed to be above reproach. Anyone who gets on your case about it, is bad and should feel bad.

I'm still in shock, I can not believe this Ray, you in Miami? with Lebron, Wade ...? I hate Miami, the Lakers also, but I think Miami is now my enemy number one, Chalmers, Battier ... I hate them.
I do not understand Ray, you you could go to any other team, Wolves, Clipps, Grizzlies, the Heat is a traicción and an insult to Celtics fans.

I love Ray Allen, but I was very disappointed and I will never be the same now as 10 years ago, Allen I'll see you as an enemy to you, like when you played in the Bucks against my man Iverson.

Ray Allen I'll see you as in the old days

Now vs The Truth and KG.

I NEVER COULD IMAGINE THIS RAY.

When my contract is up with Celticsblog, I'm shopping my services to the highest bidder. I don't feel I get the same respect as IP, Don, Roy etc.  ;)

Taking the offer of the highest bidder would be honorable thing to do....

Its not the honour thing, its the respect and the $$$ and looking out for my family. I mean I don't know how many years of quality posting I have left?

So now home town discounts are dishonorable because Ray took less to leave? Talk about torturing logic.
