Reminds me of Adrian Dantley.

Undersized somewhat, lots of his moves look awkward and downright lucky, but he just scores.

And I am fine with that as Dantley was one of the games great scorers.

Reminds me of z-bo a little big body, good footwork, and good touch on the jumper. BUT he needs to do it in a real game. We shall see though.

I hope I'm right to :-)

Dantley was shorter of course and different body type, but Sullinger strikes me as a thinking player who is more comfortable with the ball down low, but adapts.

He stepped out to shoot against Aldridge when he felt outmatched by size, came out to shoot the three when he wanted to show Rivers what he could do, and has hit a variety of really awkward hooks when up against bigger bodies.

I am comfortable with calling Sullinger as a Dantley clone.

I'm sticking with my Boozer comparison, especially after we saw him play some D at center. ;)

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
He certainly had a good game today. Let's see if he can follow it up with another tomorrow.

haha  ;D

Definitely a lot stronger and less finesse than Boozer.  Happy with what I saw today and having Rondo get him easy buckets in addition... yeah I'm pretty excited.

looked very good. even shot a 3 from outside. nobody expected that. does a good job using size down low posting up. Rebounds were ok but need work. I think we have a player who can come in and help immediately

  • Ashy To Classy, baby.
I see his ceiling growing higher every time I see him play. Right now I like the Boozer comparison, but Sullinger's tougher.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

From Rick Kamala Of NBA TV with two minutes left in the game said this.

"Very skilled, very soft touch, takes contact in the air and finishes. To me he's some professional NBA conditioning and training away from being a total Stud in the NBA".

My take on this total stud in the NBA are strong words. I'm not ready to go that far, but his point is spot on. If he can loose 20 pounds of fat and trade it for fifteen pounds of muscle he's gonna be great. Not to mention add three inches on his Vertical and the skies the limit.

Good luck Jared, Kevin's gonna have fun with you.

Of course, it's Amico, so his "scout" could be somebody on CelticsBlog.  In fact, I agree with that quote, so maybe he just grabbed one of my posts. ;)
