I'd rather Dwight go to Brooklyn. I don't know about you guys but, the Lakers with Dwight scare me a lot more then the Nets with Dwight. So what if we have to face them a few times more a year. I can handle the Nets winning a championship, the Lakers I can not.

The Nets with Dwight Howard would give the East a third legitimate contender to go along with Miami and Boston.

I'd rather see him go to LA.

Same here.

The lakers would win the finals with a healthy Nash, Howard, Gasol and Kobe. I dont want LA to have 17 banners...ever.

I would rather the heat win the next 5 championships in a row than see LA win one.

Let the Nets have Howard, Johnson is overrated. I think we would be favorites over that team.

In their current makeup, I don't think Howard adds much of significance to what Bynum already does for them, so under that speculation, I'd rather the better player leave the East and give us a better chance of us winning the championship. That said, Bynum is a harder player to guard in the post.

Also, to land Howard, they'd have to give something more than Bynum, so I'd be interested in seeing what else they'd give up, mortgage the future (which doesn't look too good as it is) and some of the present role players (maybe even part of their core depending on how it plays out).

I'd be interested at the very least to see what the package becomes to match salaries, and the differential in talent exchanging hands.

Here here. OKC, San Antonio, Clips can handle Howard and Lakers. Let's keep the East race to just two teams.

So looks like Big (huge) Baby Howard is going to get his way. Im pretty disgusted... with all the tantrums hes pulled the magic shouldv just benched him for his contract year. Instead he gets to go where he wants, gets huge money, and at least on paper be on one of the most talented teams in the nba. Barf.

i still dont see howard on ghe Netz working well. Williams is overated and needs the ball in his hands, johnson is oerated and needs the ball in his hands, Howard will whine if he doesnt have the ball in his hands. And as awesome as Wallace is he is getting older and his game is based on athleticism. Then they have nothing else to go along with. I see the Nets as following in the Knicks footsteps. A bunch of iso guys talented individually... and thats all.

PS:  No way do I want Dwight HOward in LA.  Send him to Brooklyn.  Deron, Dwight and Johnson will be fun to play with in NBA 2k13

Not willing to consider Chicago a title contender until Rose comes back from his torn ACL and shows what level he can play at.

If he recovers very well and quickly, they could maybe get back in the hunt ... but that is a pretty big maybe.

Humphries is unrestricted.  He'd agree only if the market for his services was pretty non-existent, and this was his biggest chance at a payday.  He had to take a one year deal last year, as well.

Do we know that this is the case?  I guess him going for a ton of money on a 1-year deal makes sense, but why would Cleveland take that on just to get a 1st round pick years in the future?  My guess is one of the 2013 picks must be going to them.

This still doesn't make any sense and I can't believe Orlando is going to do this for a bunch of 1st round picks spread out until 2020.

Just because I hate the strong arming that NBA super stars are getting away with (melo to NY, now dwight to nets) I would love to see a team with cap room throw a crazy 1 year deal at Humphries or Lopez to ,make this whole thing fall apart.

There needs to be a balance between players having control over their future and this arms race for talent that cripples teams in the end.

I guess I'd rather have him in LA.  Rough either way though.  Wish it could be Houston.

The LA one seems so lame to me in theory, could you try to be Shaq any more it's crazy.

Thanks, this pretty much insures we'll be contenders barring injury. And don't be so hard on yourself, you're clearly not a pessimist. You're *very* optimistic, just about your Heat, not the Celts.
