Quote
A key component of the proposed deal with Orlando would be finding a third team to take the Nets' Kris Humphries in a sign-and-trade arrangement. Cleveland has emerged as a “possible destination” for Humphries in such a scenario, in which the Nets would attempt to accumulate at least three first-round picks to send to the Magic in their package for Howard, one of the sources said. The Cavs have as many as six first-round picks in the next three drafts -- three of them from previous trades, with various levels of protection.

Nets don't quit, man.

Why would Humphries want to go to Cle?

PF - Kris Humphries, Tristan Thompson
C  - Anderson Varejao, Tyler Zeller

Why would New Jersey want to invest serious funds in Kris Humphries? I don't get it.

It puts him in the way of their top five pick last season + Hump isn't a particularly good fit alongside Varejao. I don't see where the value is here for Cleveland.

Humphries on Cavs makes no sense.

But if they are interested in him they could simply use cap space to sign him.

My guess is that Gilbert doesn't want to see Heat repeat.  ;D

With the way Gilbert is, that could actually be true, lol. tp

Seriously, now that the LAL have Nash, it would be pretty devastating to see Howard go there. Wasn't it just last week that the Lakers were about dismantle by sending away Gasol? They would be ridiculous with Howard. I know Bynum is very good, but I am counting on an injury (though with no permanent damage and no painstaking rehab).

Can't agree. I hate the Lakers, but the Nets are in our division.

I am on this side of the issue as well.  I would rather have DH out of our division.  And really, does having DH versus Bynum suddenly make them unstoppable?  I don't think so.  Bynum was an all-star last year and played like it.  I would rather have less games with all-star centers this regular season.

Good point.
Still, anything to mess with the Lakers --

I dont give a crap what happens with howard as long as something gets done. I am getting beyond sick of him coming across sportscenter, bottomline, and the rumor mill with no news stories. Its almost as bad as the brett farve saga of a couple years ago. Trade the whining baby and ship him out already, goodness.
