I think Ray is glad he's gone too... so at least the feeling is mutual.

I wouldnt say Im glad he is gone but I really dont mind him leading. I am much more excited to have Terry playing 30 minutes a game for us than ray ray.

Not Glade he is gone.  The team was better and in high gear more often with him out of the line up last year.  And if he wasn't happy , then I think its a good thing he leaves.

His wanting to be the center of attention and have people want him got the best of him.

He just didn' thave to be such a tool about the way he left and where he went.  The whole thing was like something Lebron would have done, made an fool out of himself with the childish behavior.  I guess maybe he was trying to impress his hero LeBron for giving his blessing for allowing him to play on the heat, ::)

He had a good support system with the Celtics and Boston, he was a respected family man.

I look for things to go down hill for him .  Usually happens when the grass looks greener on the other side.

Well, all I'll say is - BOS had better hope that Ray doesn't come back and bite us in the rears.

Yep...he's older...slower...not quite the same Ray we've been used to.

But whoever that "young, in-their-prime" BOS guard who lets Ray kill them from the outside in the future is -

I'll make sure I start a thread on that one.

"Why did Rondo, or_______(whoever) let Ray hit that Heat Game winner?"

Man I hope I won't have to do that. But you KNOW Spo and Co will be looking to draw up some plays for Ray - especially vs BOS.

And PLEASE Rondo, AB, Jet, Paul, etc  - Don't let Ray get the ball in his hands with the clock winding down in the 4th quarter - game on the line - series up for grabs.

No one else in NBA history has broken more hearts than Ray Allen.

While Jesus was saying all the right things in regard to coming to the Heat it seems he took less money to get away from Rondo.

And that is telling.

Ray Allen struggled to get along with Rajon Rondo this season, according to Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.

Allen will be a free agent and is expected to be pursued by the Knicks, Heat and Bulls amongst others.

“I think there’s no question that the relationship was strained over this year,” Mannix said. “How strained is the key, and it’s still a little bit unclear. There was some friction between those two. I think that could play a role in Ray’s decision not to come back. Now, I agree, I think that Boston probably wasn’t going to bring him back anyway, you’re right, it’s Avery Bradley’s job and Ray isn’t coming back to the Celtics to be a bench player, especially when he can be a bench player on a team that might be more likely to win a championship. But I think the relationship over the last year between Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo soured. Now, I’m not entirely clear as to how bad it got. But certainly I know that there was some legitimate, palpable friction between those two players and I think that will ultimately affect his decision in free agency.”

Well, name me the True, Ice-Cold Clutch shooters in the game, then.

Kobe Bean Bryant and Walter Ray Allen.

If I'm wrong, then provide me links, statistics, etc to prove it.

Wasn't Melo proven to be the "clutch-est" scorer (with stats)?

But certainly those two are dangerous to have.

  Larry Bird? MJ?

And go ahead and post the links and stats that prove Ray to be the most clutch shooter ever so people will know the kind of stats you're looking for.

Don't get me wrong - I certainly hope that such threads WON'T happen here.

But BOS had better make sure they won't.

The same exact reasons why some wanted him gone, even before last night, are the exact same reasons to still fear Ray Allen.
