Who is worse, ray Allen or Johnny Damon?

I would've liked to see a 3 year offer from the Celtics. I haven't heard anything. All I've heard was Ray wanting a 27 million deal over 3 years, which we couldn't afford (though not blaming him for asking).

I'm of the opinion that a well deserved 3 year deal would be along the lines of 15-18 million, and I would have thought that Ray would have accepted it.

But all I've seen offered was a 2 year deal, and I think that more than anything was the deal breaker. Still no excuse to go with Miami from where I'm standing, but I think the Celtics could have done a better effort to keep him at a reasonable affordable price.

I'd love to be proven differently.

Because the sharp decline is pure exaggeration. He was having a great year until he got injured. He's diligent and gets himself in great shape. And lastly, we could afford it.

I said Johnny Damon.  Damon was a character for the Sox, with the hair and the Moses beard.  He kind of personified that 2004 team that ended it all.

Damon also had no "reason" to leave the Sox.  He was never trade  bait. 

Also...the Yankees are the Sox all-time rivals.

Miami is just the flavor of the moment.  If Ray had gone to the LAKERS....well then...

Damon by a long shot! The Yankees are Historical Rivals since forever, where the Heat are really only detested this bad because of Lebron. The Heat aren't really Rivals. Had he gone to the Lakers, then it would have been a toss up.
