As was 1st reported by @Jackie_Pepper, a source confirms that Lakers working on trade that would bring @DwightHoward to LA for Bynum/others.

Pretty crazy.

To be clear this is not a done deal yet, but source tells me @DwightHoward could become a Laker sometime over the weekend.

Here's another.. Again no clue who this Davis Wiess is but hey its some news rather then Ray Allen sleeping in Miami.

Instead of having Bynum and Ramon Sessions on the front row seat watching the Ko-Me show, they now have Dwight Howard and Steve Nash!

Fantastic! Nash has more MVPs than Bryant and needs the ball in his hands. All the while Dwight will threaten Kobe's position as the alpha dog. Butter on Mike Brown's coaching and you have a potential recipe for disaster.

Hope it all screws up!!!

Lakers working on trade =/= Dwight Howard traded.

Only two thoughts on this if it happens:

1. I find it absolutely mind boggling that teams continuously  trade their best players to the Lakers - one of the elite teams that has kicked everyone's ass, in general, for years. Is it possible to make it any easier for the Lakers to remain relevant? It's a like an endless parade of the best players being served up to the Lakers.

2. Why on God's earth would Orlando ever, for a single minute, consider the name "Bynum" in a trade for Dwight Howard? You mean to tell me that's the best they can get for Howard - a 7 foot juvenile who's made of glass and has a screw loose? Are you kidding me? You can't build a team around Bynum. He's talented, yes. But he has no heart, he's a punk on the court with low "on court" character and class. How can you build anything relevant around that?

Um...a team of Kobe, Howard,Gasol, and Nash will the overwhelming favorites to win it all ahead of Miami and OKC...scary.

Well, as the kid from one of my favorite movies said:

"Production Value!!" lol...

For me, I'll be waiting for the train wreck in LA if Dwight goes there. I was already envisioning some growing pains with Nash and Kobe fighting for the ball, but if Dwight goes there?

Train Wreck.

C'mon, LA...I applaud the effort here, but seriously remember the last time you tried something like this?

Won't work. It will be entertaining, which will certainly be Hollywood-ish. But it won't end pretty.

If Pau is unhappy now, imagine him trying to fight for PT and meaningful production with him being perhaps the 4th fiddle?

My speculation of the pecking order of such a lineup:

1. Kobe
2. Nash

3. Dwight

4. Pau

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
I'm hopeful that one day an earthquake breaks California off of the US and it floats adrift. I'm so sick of hearing how all these players want to go to LA.

Amen.

I figured Orlando would trade him to the Lakers for a bag of chips, just like Memphis took back for Pau.

If this happens I'm going to be p---ed.
