I agree with multiple posters on here.  If he leaves now after the Celtics threw everything plus the kitchen sink at him then he should get booed everytime here.  If he doesnt have loyalty to Boston then why should we show loyalty to him !!!!  IMO

LOYALTY!!! LOL

They traded him to Memphis for Mayo

What Loyalty?

Alex Kennedy says sources are saying Ray is leaning toward the Heat

Reports...Ray Allen cancels trip to LA. I bet that Pat Riley closed the deal. #UNOSportsTonight#CelticsTalK

I guess he doesn't know LAC signed Crawford and Billups

yeah wow what dumb reporting haha...

I know that was posted to make fun of him but really, Tanguay isn't even worth talking about.  What a dolt.

And I don't trust anyone besides Woj and Spears at Yahoo at this point.

After reading all of Tanguay's tweets today, the tweet I let out was:

Quote
So....is @Gary_Tanguay really that much of a snarky b-hole, or is this 'let @danieltosh take over your twitter day'?

The guy is just flat out trolling celtics fans. He's being snarky, and just throwing out ideas as they come to him, without stating that he has absolutely no credibility here.

Turrible.

It's really typical Boston sports media crap and the only thing that bothers me more than the actions of guys like Tanguay are that people watch or listen to them so they continue to exist.  They troll and talk out of their butts all day with no logic or research to back anything they say.

Also, anyone who has a show with branding up front is suspect from my point of view.  No credibility.

The rest of the offseason for me? (Assuming Ray really is gone):

Sign and trade Steamer to Milwaukee for Anthony Randolph, see if we can pick up Courtney Lee with the BAE (he'll prob get more though from a team with cap), get Jeff Green signed, maybe Chris Wilcox too.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Can't sign and trade Steamer for much, just BAE.

Yeah, this is a point we're all being a bit remiss about. Ray Allen 'owes' the Celtics nothing. He held up his end of the contract, he was professional, and he continues to be.

Ray got traded, the Celtics did what was best for the team, and he behaved like a man throughout.

That doesn't mean he didn't feel a bit betrayed.

And he played through injuries , and even though he was atrocious in the beginning

he still tried his best.

He played a great first half in the Game 7 against Miami.

You can't  do anything else.

But like i said before , the celtic fan base pretty much gauges how much they want Ray...

I'm a sensitive guy, so I can understand Ray's sensitivity to being dangled multiple times, virtually traded, and benched.

But at the same time, I'm also becoming more mature as I head toward 40, and I would hope that Ray would realize a couple of things:
* he shouldn't be playing 35-40 minutes a game anymore
* concentrating his energy and legs into a smaller window of minutes at this point could make him more effective
* Bradley's defense can really help put the clamps on opponents early in the game
* Ray providing bench scoring could be a real boost to Boston

Boston may not be offering as much money as he wants, but no one else can give him as much as Boston.

And I think a backup backcourt of Ray and Terry would be fantastic, not to mention cementing Ray's legacy as a Celtic.

And I strongly doubt Miami could give him as many minutes as Boston.

And if he thinks he can get more shots playing with LeBron and Wade, he better recognize.

Danny, just give him the no-trade clause. If you want to make a deal at the trade deadline, I'm sure you'll have plenty of other valuable assets to offer.

this is pathetic. Your detailing what Ray Allen should be thinking. Who are you?

Think about what you just wrote and tell my how anybody should tell someone else what type of restrictions they should be following?

Who am I? No one of significant note, as far as I know. And I could ask the same of you.

Look, I'm just offering my opinion. I've never said what he should be thinking; I'm just trying to look at the various factors that are likely involved in Ray's decision, and I think it's fair to assume that Ray's considering things such as available minutes and number of available shots.

Just take a breath. We'll get through this together.

you lost this round by saying , "Ray Allen should realize things"

You being 40 and realizing things means nothing.

What means something is what Ray Allen thinks the Celtics think of him

The Celtics and ray Allen are professionals.

That's exactly who else I was thinking of.  The two worst offenders but basically all Boston sports media dabbles in the same B.S.

I love be some Felger, just because he doesn't deny he is a BS artist.  He embraces the fact that he knows nothing about basketball.  Tanguay on the other hand is the most obnoxiously arrogant "journalist" this side of Butch Stearns, and either refuses to admit that he has no idea what he is talking about, or is just too stupid to see it.

The Celtics and ray Allen are professionals.

Yes, Ray and the Celtics are professionals. The fans aren't. We're driven by emotions. We bleed green, we go to bat for this team. We root for what's on the front of the jersey, not the back. If Ray goes to Miami, that's perfectly within his right as a free agent, but don't expect BOSTON fans to be happy about it.
