I feel like SF's of Green's caliber are a dime a dozen. Beasley, Jeff Green, Marvin Williams, Ariza, Richard Jefferson, Stephen Jackson, Batum, Gerald Wallace, Marion, Prince, Maggette. All players who are considered "good" players, but none will ever be all stars at their position and all make too much money considering how many equal-better players there are at the SF position. There are at least 6 NBA players (Lebron, Melo, Granger, Iguodala, Pierce, Gay) inarguably better than those on that list. And I didn't even mention Deng and Gallinari or fringe SF's like Joe Johnson and Josh Smith. You can't pay 8-9 mil per year for a guy who is so relatively weak at his position. Considering those players named and also the potential rise of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, does anybody think that Jeff Green will ever be a top 8 SF in the league? I'm curious if he'll ever even be top 10.I say 3 years 20 mil (or 4 yr 25 mil) MAXIMUM or let him walk.

Ridiculous how his agent demands so much money, especially for a player off the court for a year. If Danny can't bring that asking price down by 3-4 million, we're getting robbed.

9 mil for Green is a bit steep, but not totally outrageous. What I thought when I saw Beasley's deal is this contract should set the market for players like OJ Mayo and Nick Young. Like Beasley, these guys are talented, but they come with blemished reputations. All three players are about the same age and their career numbers are similar. If 6 mil per year becomes the price for Mayo and Young, I kinda hope they get signed instead of Ray

We won't have the cap space to offer that kind of salary to Mayo or Young.
agreed that is high but would it be ok if it was 8-9 at only 1 year? probably what youd have to pay
