God I hate Heat fans. I made the mistake of reading some just now. Somebody tweet Ray some of the Heat fans' comments. That'll guarantee to persuade him to stay.
Yeah that will do it.  :)

KG ad PP and Rondo were on the block too.  Whats your point?  DA is just doing his job.  If Ray thinks he is an untouchable then he has an inflated value of himself.  He's  37 year old one dimension player coming off surgery.  He ought to be thrill DA offered him $12M for 2 years.  I would not offer him that.
So you want him on a team that bounced us from the playoffs for the past two years? That is insanity and foolishness. If Ray is playing against us, we will be lost everytime he takes a 3 point shot.
AB would lock up Ray in a heartbeat.  I be more concerned with LBJ, Bosh and Wade

AB can't block a 6'6 Quick Shooting Ray Allen, if he gets open its a wrap for Bradley, who will have 0 effect on Ray Allen's shot.
I wonder how he blocked D Wade.  Bradley would be in Ray's jock.

The guy is coming off double shoulder surgery, you seem awfully confident in the fact Ray Allen was done last year. People have said this dude has been done for years now...why are we going to bet against him now? Ray also has 4 inches on Bradley...something to consider too

31%
35%
38%

Ray Allen 3 point post season shooting % over the recent past

He's hit the clutch shot so many times for us, before his bone spur issues he was money from the free throw line. I understand your agenda but you aren't going to have any luck convincing people (except for the dumb "blow it up" crowd) that this team is better without Ray Allen
No agenda brother.  I just have serious reservations about a 37 year old jump shooter coming off ankle surgery.  Nothing more nothing less.  I think Terry is more valuable than Ray since Terry can help in two areas while Ray helps in one area.  If he wants to come back fine but if he is doing this out of spite then he needs to grow up and be a professional.  He should take a cue from KG.

Terry is one of the most overrated players this league has....hes a streak shooter who is undersized

HE might be able to create better than Ray but it does not guarantee he makes it

He's a better shooter than JET, JET isn't overrated he's a fantastic 6th man but he isn't a starter.

Ray is listed as 6'5", not 6'6", and Bradley has more lift for his size than Ray does. Also, defending against jump shots also involves staying in the space of the shooters body, and Bradley can certainly do that.

Raise your hand if you think that we're closer to the title with ray in the heat as opposed to the celts.

I thought so (because anyone that does is clueless).

For all those dogging ray, this is really the only point that matter.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
This whole discussion is silly No defender in the league "locks up" Ray Allen, because of his work off screens. We don't need to pretend AB is light years ahead of other elite wing defenders that Ray has managed well enough with.

I don't see why Ray would go to Miami, and I'm guessing this is a negotiating tactic with the C's

If he wants to start/play big minutes, he'll go tithe  Clips. If he wants $, he'll stay in Boston. If he was willing to sit on the bench for half his market value just to get a ring, he would have done that for his first ring. That's a move for players like Karl Malone just trying to hang on for the ride, not champs who could still start in the league.

Classic LBJ/Wade though. "Man, I hate the Celtics. Lets try to get them to join our team!"
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

We shouldn't be going for a title, let Bradley get the minutes and the experience. He's ready to be an NBA starter, I'd also love to see what Sullinger can do as our starting 4, Start the Youth Movement!

Ainge brought back KG with the full intention of contending though...

Derek Fisher does a great job against Ray despite the height difference.

He can use KG to tutor Melo and Sullinger and get them ready for when they are title contenders again.

That's very true, but the Terry signing indicates that Ainge wants the Celtics to compete NOW.

Letting Bradley start isn't going to prevent us from trying to win the title. Going with a full youth movement will, so that's not happening.

Ray leaving I believe closes any window on this team winning the Atlantic this year. I'm hoping to god Dallas matches this deal and JET stays in Dallas, Ray goes to the Heat and we can give the keys to the youngsters. Finally get to see what Moore can do with extended minutes in his 2nd season.

2morrow is a big day for #HeatNation..

From D-Wades Twitter...

I don't have a good feeling about this...  :-\

Lebron also showed some Ray Allen love on his twitter. You gotta wonder why PP and RR are quiet in twitter when it comes to this matter. Maybe they know Ray's decision already?
