Great idea. The guys a master 6 man, can play the 1 or 2, and we can expect 10-15 ppg off the bench from him. Hes a good answer to our stagnant scoring bench

I think that Ainge/Doc have a feeling that Ray is most likely gone...they are going to try, of course but you arent going to just "bank" on him coming back.

with the clippers he can maybe get the full MLE and probably start...

I'd say good idea.  Age and length prevents it from being great.  But it is definitely good.

Good in transition and still a wiry defender and he is a good shooter and passer.  I like this move.   It adds versatility to us if he comes off the bench and a dependable scoring pop.

I got to go with good idea.  He is an upgrade over Ray in every way save shooting except he can create his own shot and is a credible shooter.

I think this has nothing to do with Allen, JET is coming here to be a key cog off the bench. Ray Allen would be coming back here to be the starting SG. Boston can still offer the most money and they don't need to use the MLE to bring Ray in.

Good Idea if Allen comes back, Solid Idea if he doesn't
