I bet this makes it easier for Ray to start as avery and jet can be a great combo duo, also, Dallas is probably trying to free his cap hold as he earned 11 mil last year. They may have encouraged him to sign elsewhere so they can go for Howard? finally some bench firepower!I was thinking the same thing if we really want Ray and there's a chance he stays with us we have to offer him the starting job. Then you have Terry backup Rondo and Bradley back up Ray that would be pretty [dang] solid. No, avery bradley is our starter and if ray can't accept that he needs to walk. He won't be starting in miami either.

So is their any truth to Spear's report that the Mavs have decided to not match Terry's deal with the C's or not?
Quote from: Mike-Dub on July 03, 2012, 08:53:30 PMSo is their any truth to Spear's report that the Mavs have decided to not match Terry's deal with the C's or not?yea, whats the hold up here?
Jason Terry has not formally agreed to the three-year, more than $15-million deal the Boston Celtics have offered, but it's probably only a matter of time before he does.Terry planned to give the Dallas Mavericks, the team he's played for the past eight seasons and won a championship with in 2011, a chance to match. But those hopes have seemed to evaporate.Mavs president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson, moments after Deron Williams broke the news that he will re-sign with the Brooklyn Nets, all but bid Terry farewell."What Jet did for this city and franchise will never be forgotten," Nelson said. "He's one of the greatest clutch performers in the history of our game and even a better person. We wish him nothing but the very best."
If Ray wants minutes, he'll get more with Boston than Miami. If Ray wants a championship, the Heat are better placed than the Celtics. If Ray wants money, neither is a good fit.
Chris TomassonAlso in Miami HeatFree agent guard Jason Terry today said he’s still “solidifying a deal'' with Boston, but obviously that's where he'll end up.
Chris TomassonAlso in Miami HeatWhile Jason Terry said Tuesday he would welcome playing with Ray Allen on the Celtics, he said today he doesn’t know what Allen will do. “I have no idea,’’ Terry said of Allen, a free agent who will visit Miami on Thursday and the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
Chris TomassonJason Terry said today it "definitely won’t be Dallas’’ where he plays next season. “They didn’t offer,’’ said Terry, who said he never got a contract offer from the Mavericks, the team he played for from 2004-12 and helped lead a title to in 2011.
This would be awesome news.
wow they aint even offer him a contract, cold blooded
