Moratorium makes us vulnerable. Terry can back out between now and July 11th.

I've always been a big JET fan, but I'm worried we are going for the seniors game lol.

We still have not addressed our HUGE rebounding problem!!

And please do not tell me rookies are going to come in and do that for us, that is laughable.
We don't have a "huge" rebounding problem.

30th in Total Rebounds last season.
28th in Rebound PCT last season, ahead of Golden State (small team) and Charlotte (worst team ever).

Calling it a huge problem sounds pretty accurate to me.

I think to call it huge means we lost important games because of it... rebounding wasn't why we lost to Mia but our lack of offense (running it effectively) was. We would struggle to score at the most important times... 4th Q in the ECF. JET helps with that.

Rebound did kill us in 2010, and we've done squat to address it. However, JET does help give us another guy that can create his own shot. I know I'll get lambasted for this, but he's an upgrade over Ray IMO. Ray is a catch and shoot guy, with JET you get a catch and shoot guy who can also create for himself.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I think our two biggest problems the past few years are rebounding and scoring droughts. Adding Terry and Green to a bench that already has Ray should help with the scoring. We just have to be hopeful that the rookies and Johnson can improve and help with the rebounding.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Numbers are misleading. We are 30th in ORB, but 20th in DRB. The ORB piece is a system thing, not even Kevin Love fixes this for us. We take the best shot we can get, and then get back on defense. We only get ORBs when they literally fall into our hands, or when Pietrus comes flying out of nowhere, or when Bass gets it on a putback.

The DRB thing is a problem... we should be at least league average there. But we can get away with the ORB thing because we're a seriously efficient team. 5th in FG%, 7th in 3P%. The return to defense helps, too. 1st in opponent FG%, 1st in opponent 3P%. Etc.

Don't think you make the playoffs, let alone the Eastern Conf Finals if you have a HUGE rebounding problem.

I wont bash you for saying that I completely agree. Hell we can use Terry as a backup 1 or 2, hes much more versatile at this point even at 35

guys, we need to realise there is a 50-50 chance that Ray leaves ...I have a feeling he leaves for the clippers.

Jet fills 2 needs.

1. Ray allen insurance incase he leaves
2. a dynamic scorer off the bench who can come in and light it up...hes a guy who can create his own shot and can handle the ball

bigs are too expensive these days...danny has pretty much said that hes throwing sullinger/Melo into the fire this year.

Don't think you make the playoffs, let alone the Eastern Conf Finals if you have a HUGE rebounding problem.

I would say that you can have a huge problem in one specific area that is overcome by strengths in other areas.  Every team has strengths and weaknesses.

Watch the Patriots secondary play from last year.  It was a pretty huge problem.  They made it to the Super Bowl.

Look at the Patriots receivers when they had Caldwell, Gaffney, and Chad Jackson.  Or the Eagles receivers when they had Pinkston, Mitchell, and Thrash.  Both teams made it to the Conference Championship.

I have football on my mind, but the point is that a team can overcome a huge problem and make the playoffs.  Having the best defense in the league can overcome a huge defensive rebounding problem, for instance.

He's an upgrade over dooling.  Can play backup point.  Probably better than Bradley but his size is the reason he's always come off the bench.  Probably Bradley's destiny as well.  Should have no trouble keeping ray and adding terry

My immediate reaction: I'm on the fence. I really want to see the front court get a boost before I celebrate this use of the MLE.

I would have been happy with a return of Ray, Dooling, Pietrus as the bench back court.

I wonder if the plan is to bring Bass back, also for a 3 year deal. The only MLE-esque guys better than Bass are probably Humphries, Beasley, Camby, and maybe Hickson.

As much as I really like Terry as a 6th man, I'm worried.

Jet is a good signing. Still a good clutch player and he is a character guy too.

If Ray signs with the clips, I think the C's should do a sign and trade for Nick Young. I am not a fan, but he provides another scoring option at the wing position that is young and athletic
