Wow.  We now have an alternate to the Pierce stepback for game-ending plays: the JET pull-up going right.

A little worried that Terry's quickness off the dribble is going to go the way of the buffalo pretty soon, but I'll stifle that worry for the moment.

I guess Danny's best case scenario at this point is:

Rondo/Terry
Bradley/Ray
Pierce/Green
Bass/Sullinger/JJJ
KG/Wilcox/Stiemsma/Melo

Then Moore/Joseph vs. whatever veteran options there are (Daniels, Pavs... I don't think Pietrus' star has fallen so far) for the IR.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I've always been a big JET fan, but I'm worried we are going for the seniors game lol.

We still have not addressed our HUGE rebounding problem!!

And please do not tell me rookies are going to come in and do that for us, that is laughable.

That's a nice lineup for sure

Ainge hedged his bets. I honestly don't blame him with Ray really looking around. There was a possibility the C's could have missed out on Terry, Ray, and a big by just waiting around.

NBA source confirms #celtics agree to 3-year pact with Jason Terry. #mavericks offered more $$$ but just 2-year deal

More total or annually?

Total, we pay him 3/15 and Dallas 2/12.

So Dallas didn't really offer him more money, since it is all guaranteed.

We don't have a "huge" rebounding problem.

We don't know that they didn't offer more money this was based on someone saying they probably offered him the same as we are said to be offering Ray. They have the money to offer him more but if it was a 2yr deal, I doubt they were offering more than 2yrs/7.5 per... they said more, so what 8mil per for 2 yrs? Too much for JET, so I gotta think they meant more money PER like Ray 2/12...

I got mixed emotions about this deal. Yes I like Terry but he is 35. But he know how to win. But we still need a center in the worst way!! Rebounding killed us last 2 years
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

We don't have a "huge" rebounding problem.

30th in Total Rebounds last season.
28th in Rebound PCT last season, ahead of Golden State (small team) and Charlotte (worst team ever).

Calling it a huge problem sounds pretty accurate to me.

Good move.  Rebounding woes hurt us in the past, but addressing it by signing a stiff wasn't going to solve that.  An equal problem has been bench scoring, which Terry solves.

Age is an issue, but Ainge is keeping this team relevant and full of assets, which is pretty much the best thing he can do outside of signing a top 10 player in the NBA (which isn't an option at this point).

I think to call it huge means we lost important games because of it... rebounding wasn't why we lost to Mia but our lack of offense (running it effectively) was. We would struggle to score at the most important times... 4th Q in the ECF. JET helps with that.
