Awesome

Sad though this almost means Ray is gone for sure, even if we still have Ray’s offer on the table he is going to look at as we filled the SG position and don't need him. Ray will be south beach bound book it.  ::)

I was thinking this was a bit of a longshot, and I don't want to get my hopes to up considering the disappointment of recent "close deals" in the past few free-agencies... but... [dang] I'm excited if this came to be.

Doesn't meant that at all.

Keep in mind Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he wanted both Ray Allen & Jason Terry in this recent Yahoo! Sports story: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--doc-rivers--celtics-want-to-keep-core-together--hope-to-re-sign-ray-allen.html;_ylt=AgiZQgvPGR_uWfkuaP9lDl68vLYF

Of course Doc said that, though, because Doc is never going to throw one of his guys under the bus.  That's not how Doc operates, and it's part of why players love him so much.

Ray wants to go somewhere where he can play, not somewhere where he's going to scrap for a Pietrus-sized role.

Well, I always thought Terry would be the best possible replacement for Ray, should he bolt.

I'm skeptical there are enough minutes on the roster for both of them, though.

Getting Terry gives us a lot of security of what to do with our wing situation. It essentially give us a comfortable safety net if Ray doesn't come, we still have Pietrus, Daniels, and Pavlo to round up the roster if needed be.

But if we can't get a quality wing, then Ray becomes pretty much a necessity, and the uncertainty of where he might end up could make things a bit hard.

I know that just don't think it will sit well with Ray, it's his perfect opportunity to head to Miami now where he wanted to go probably all along and not take any crap for it. They both do much of the same spread the floor with their shooting. I think he's gone.

If Ray does resign... Our bench is Terry/Ray/Green/Sullinger/Stiemsma(Melo). That's the best bench in the league.
