Wilcox was looking really good until he had to sit for the rest of the season. In my opinion he should've been starting alongside KG.
Agreed

I don't know what the etiquette for this kind of thing is, but I'd to have Wilcox in for a workout before giving him a roster spot. Jeff Green at least has some skill to his game, Wilcox is almost purely an energetic guy who can crash the boards, run the floor and finish around the basket. If this whole heart thing means that he isn't athletically what he was last year, then I would hate to give him a guaranteed contract. Without that ability, he's pretty useless.

Both.  If forced to choose, then Wilcox.  But I would not concede that Fab deserves Stiems spot yet.

If Wilcox is healthy I say keep them both. Wilcox and KG start and let Bass move on. Backup 4 is a combination of Jeff Green/Sully/JJJ. I just don't see why we would resign Bass. His minutes are going to shrink. They almost have to. We're gonna draft 2 pfs and 1 center in the last 2 seasons and they're not even gonna get a chance to play?? There just aren't enough minutes to go around and considering what Bass may get in the open market it's just not worth keeping him here so I say keep Wilcox and Stiemer.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Once he got comfortable with the system, he was also looking good defensively for us.

Yeah, I am worried about Wilcox post-surgery also and I actually feel the same way about Jeff Green too.

I wouldn't give either one more than a one year deal and I would want sufficient alternatives to them on the roster in case they are no longer what they used to be.

Comfortable with Wilcox at $2-3 million and Green at $3-4 million. If Green is going to command more than that, I don't know, I am not sure how much higher I'd be prepared to go.

I actually feel better about those guys coming off of heart surgery than I would if they were coming off a torn ACL and just now being cleared to play.

Just curious, what exactly would prevent either Green or Wilcox from being as athletic as they both were pre surgery?

I agree about Camby and Wilcox, but I don't see us really worrying about what LA is doing anymore.  They got smoked in the playoffs this year, and I don't see their team getting better over the offseason.  We need to select players that help us get past Miami and Chicago.

Camby + WILCOX =   ROCKS

Big ol ruff and tuff dudes ...we need em till we can get Fab & Sully whipped into fighting shape ...to battle LA's bigs under the boards.

Before we drafted Melo, the Steamer would've been good to bring back to see if he could develop beyond what we saw last year.  However, now that we have our "center of the future" and are just looking for a center for next year's title run I think Wilcox is a no-brainer.  In transition with Rondo he looked great once he got his legs under him (like many vets, he was out of shape and had a slow start last year) and was beginning to look solid on D before he went down.
Plus, if Asik just got offered 8 mil I'm pretty sure someone will outpay us for Steamer.  Wilcox is coming off of heart surgery and most likely will not get paid more than the min.

why not both?? they shouldnt come too expensive.

i like the idea of wilcox in the starting lineup if Bass is gone...

that gives Rondo 2 players to run with in the starting unit(wilcox/bradley)
