New Post: Chris Wilcox cleared for full-court contact, Celtics said to have interest (http://bit.ly/N7ehET)

Hmmmm...I don't know about you guys but I think I'd rather have CW. Stiemer showed a lot of promise last year, but he's still picked on by the refs (don't see that changing any time soon) and CW and RR were really good together. We can't sign/re-sign everyone so someone has to go. All of a sudden we went from very thin on the front line to overloaded:

KG
JJJ
Fab
Sully
Bass?
Wilcox?
Stiemer?
Williams?
AND we're still looking at FA's.

Who do we keep? Who do we re-sign?

For equal money, Wilcox in a heartbeat.

It won't be equal money, however.

If Wilcox is signing for the vet minimum, I'd probably go in that direction.  We could use his scoring inside.

At the same time, Stiemer has some promise, so I wouldn't be disappointed if he stuck around.

Not sure what kind of money you think Wilcox will command. I'd imagine they'll be pretty even, if anything SI'd guess Stiemsma would get more.

Garr this is hard.

On one hand, Stiemsma's young with some potential, although relatively slow.
But Wilcox is athletic and more experienced. Just a better player IMO right now.

But we do need a goofy white guy.

Garr this is hard!!!!
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

If we add Camby, then Wilcox.  If we don't add Camby, then both.

Wilcox offers a unique skill set - paint finishing + transition speed + solid rebounding - in a veteran package.  More useful than Stiemsma's rim protection + decent rebounding + decent J combo if Camby's on board.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

wilcox gives us more on both ends...but that would mean KG starts at the 5 and melo would have to progress quickly to be the #2

I like them both.  Although he is 27 (?) Stiemsma was still a rookie, and was treated as such by the refs.  I would like to see what he can do with healthy feet.  Would the block per centage and rebounding improve? I would like to see them both back.

Camby + WILCOX =   ROCKS

Big ol ruff and tuff dudes ...we need em till we can get Fab & Sully whipped into fighting shape ...to battle LA's bigs under the boards.

It's hard to know whether Greg will improve.  He'll be 27 at he start of the season and Wilcox will be 30.  Both are really in typical prime years.  If Greg is a true late bloomer, maybe he has another leap to make.  I guess I am dubious.  I think Wilcox gives you more and, assuming he is back to full strength, is the better bet.  I wouldn't pay a ton for Wilcox, but I doubt they'll need to.

Wilcox was looking really good until he had to sit for the rest of the season. In my opinion he should've been starting alongside KG.

I know a lot of people like him, but I don't feel comfortable relying on Camby.  Just have always had bad feeling about him...no reason.
