its official: Ainge blew this draft, and bigtime. This draft sucks. Very disappointed!

Anybody defend this one? Wow. Wow. He will not be in the league (or at the very least will never see the floor for us...I hope), so you may as well pick someone with upside...

really dumb pick...  kid is horrible.  can't believe we passed on james. (shakes head)

just a few reactions to Avery Bradley being picked from the 2010 draft thread

EDIT:  Changed the thread title; labeling other posters isn't allowed.

Can I still whine now, then wildly overrate both guys when Doc doesn't play them as much as I want, then forget about both of those and start the cycle over next draft?

I suggest that content is more important when language comes into play.

as long as you claim you knew it would work out the whole time when it does!

Meh, if he's going to call people out for whining, I'll call him out for spelling.

You better believe it - I already know both guys will be terrible, or awesome, or somewhere in between.  I'll let you know later.  They should hire me, this front office is a joke.

doesnt bother me.  I actually had it right the first time, then changed it, then changed it back.

wow. What an incredibly dumb pick. How do you not take James Anderson there?? Idiot.

Anderson:

- volume scorer
- can create his own shot (something literally no one on our team can do except Robinson)
- has length and size
- good shooter

basically exactly what we need for our backcourt.

Bradley:

- average to poor shooter
- tweener guard
- terrible from the freethrow line

yeah, that's exactly what we need, Danny. Another ridiculous liability from the free throw line who can't shoot and isn't a pure point guard. Taking a point who isn't even really a point is idiotic. That's the one position where we really didn't need to fill a need. We better be trading this pick to Memphis or something. Memphis needs a PG, remember, and they didn't want to take someone like Bradley who's only okay and not great at such a high spot.

Man at least give the newbies a chance .   I'm sure Danny wanted a higher pick , but nobody was trading, so you throw darts at board at this point , call it a good guess and prayer wait see what happens.

Also , there maybe alot of trading , these guys might not even make it though the summer.

At least Melo won't "flunk out" of the Celtics. I hope KG stays around to try and make him work hard, because if he does not, this is one bad pick.

Fans get too infatuated with mock drafts and highlight videos.  We'll see what happens.  Pre-Internet you wouldn't have given two craps about the celtics ending up with Sullinger and Fab Melo.  You'd be like "k... a couple late 1st rounders... is what it is"

some 2010 quotes

Quote
dont like bradley..now we should trade him to memphis and pick up jordan crawford and hassan whiteside

Quote

Why not Orton or Alabi?

We needed size.  Perk hurt.  KG could be at anytime. Sheed retired.

Hello?

Quote
Does he play behind, or with Rondo?

No matter how good of a defender Bradley is, it still means we´d have an undersized backcourt with shooting problems. Why pick the BPA if he doesn´t really fit on your team? Or is this a sign for a Rondo trade to come?

I´m confused...

Quote

James Anderson would of been a GOOD pick. And certainly BPA at that time.

Quote
move up danny and get whiteside or alabi

Quote
Ok.. Trade for Whiteside now. At this point, it doesn't really matter if he is a bust or not.

Quote
whiteside a steal at 33
