We were 2nd on defense last year. 26th on offense. How do either of those picks help us? Sullinger is slow and will not be able to score against anyone in the post. Melo could not throw the ball in the [dang] ocean. Danny's worst draft ever. Just pathetic.

Yup.  Officially back on my hating Danny warpath.

This draft couldn't have gone any worse.

we needed a center, thats why. it was him or someone crappy like  aaron gray. we took the best post defender in the draft instead.

i agree we need to get more athletic but at 21 and 22 in the draft their wasnt really much else that could help us. I think we took a) the best player available at that point in Sullinger. and b) the best player that could fill a need for us. Stellar? no. but im more than ok with it.

Could these moves mean we are moving Rondo?  These are not the types that will improve his game as I see it.

This is a very dissappointing depressing draft.  Houston ruined everything.  My dream draft had the C's landing Moe Harkless and Roye White, then after that I liked Nicholson and Fornier.  These four guys all got scooped up over the six picks right ahead of the Cs.  Game set match.

Sullinger to me is at BEST a back up PF who won't be able to defend long PF or shoot over them.  Melo has bust written all over him.  Low BB IQ, bad motor, poor rebounder.

 :'(  Depressed, I am.

We got a center I wanted, So I'm happy. Sullinger will grow on me. Dodged a bullet with Royce White. Thank you Houston.

Lets slow down here.

Most people said this about Avery Bradley as well 2 year ago and look how he panned out.

Let's give it time. Honestly I like the pick, they compliment each other. Plus, we need a big who can defend and outside of Drummond we got the best one. Sure he's not the superstar we want, but for the 22, cmon.

have you watched Sully play? I have..EVERY GAME at ohio state...if you think he can't score in the post..you are uninformed. OSU had no center and Sully played the 5....which matched him up against the other team's center. Sully will be great for boston

I agree about Melo...Melo will be out of the league sooner than later

A lot of people said it out Giddens and they were right. Melo has absolutely no offensive game and he doesn't have the feet to play the pick and roll. His skill is blocking shots. Basically he does what Stiemsma does already.

I think Danny just added fuel to the fire to the never ending debate do we draft for BPA or draft for need

should always draft BPA -- can't go wrong with that philosophy.

Moultrie and Jones were obviously better players still on the board.

We only had 4 guys under contract. Not much room to negotiate a trade. I still think there may be a trade in the works they are just waiting to get players signed so this can happen.
