Not sure how you can call this a failure.  We haven't seen any of these kids take the floor yet.

What was our worst stat last year ?

Rebounding sound about right ?

What does Sullinger do best ?

You got it.

I would like to apologize and retract part of my statement.

I thought Sullinger would and will be quite good. Think Brandon Bass with the ability to actually play in the post. I am thinking  16 and 8, give or take.

It was Fab Melo I freaked about and let that color my judgement on both picks. I worry so much about that kid, particularly since so many better players were still on the board. I worry we drafted for need which is always a bad move in my mind. I have heard that some analysts think he improved from his Freshman to Sophomore year more than any player in the country. O.K., maybe so. Still he seems like a tall stiff.

However, in total I overreacted and was not correct in blasting Sullinger the way I did. Sorry.

Exactly.

By the way, KG also does that pretty good does he? He also grabs a ton of rebounds even if he's out of position because he has to help on defense. Now imagine him grabbing rebounds while in position to get one, because he doesn't have to be the last line on defense anymore, Fab Melo is. How many more rebounds KG could get while being in position to do so?

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

I think both could only help KG in the rebounding department.  Sullinger flat out loves to rebound and I feel he helps right away.

Melo is more of a project for me, but a good one at that. In fact, his skill set really reminds me of Hollins a bit, but obviously a bit more raw.  3 or 4 years down the road, he could prove to be a find, similiar to the route Perkins took.  I think he's a better project than Perkins was, definitely a better athlete.

Good value pick by Danny in Melo.  For all we know, he could be better than even Andre Drummond, who was picked at 10.  We just don't know yet.

No worries.  I reacted that way too initially.  The Melo pick is a longshot in some ways, but if it works out he could be a better version of Kendrick Perkins.
