Quite possibly the most anti-Celtic player in the NBA. Pass

This.

He has no concept of team basketball, plays no defense..

There is a reason why he never played an important role on a winning team. If you want more, ask Portland fans how they feel about him.

Why are people comparing Crawford to Dooling?  It's Crawford vs Ray. Ray's > Crawford, but he may be out of here.  Crawford's not a great alternative, but we will need a scorer at the SG position, and there's not much to pick from. Better to shoot for Terry, but there's a good chance the MLE won't be enough for either (Crawford opted out at $5 million).

Depends on who is signed & the situation.  Ainge has this thing wide open.  Dooling is mentioned because if Ray is signed, Crawford would take Dooling's place behind Rondo.  Crawford can play both PG or SG.  So if Ray is back, or someone like Ross is drafted, Crawford is taking the PG spot behind Rondo.

Rondo/Crawford
Bradley/Ray
Pierce/Pietrus/Daniels
Bass/#21 or #22/JJ
KG/Wilcox/Stiemsma

If Bradley's healthy and Ray re-signs, we don't need a $5million back up point guard.  There's better ways to spend the dough, or save it.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

That's just it.  You have to weigh all the options.  As fans, we don't get to see all what's out there & available.  Could you sacrifice the Crawford upgrade in Dooling's place for somebody else ?  For all we know, signing Dooling might be the better option as we try and address other areas of concern with the money saved by not grabbing Crawford.

Or, could you turn Ray's money into Crawford and Asik ?  a 2 for 1 if you will ?

Weighing all the options and figuring out what's best going forward is the toughest part of the job.  Luckily Ainge has left himself wide opening for anything to happen.

Can't a GM upgrade the roster ? Don't us fans want upgrades ? I'm sorry, but Crawford is an upgrade over what we had on this Conf finals team this past year.  It isn't even close.

Crawford > Dooling
This, lol the shootin guard free agent class is weak some of these same guys sayin no to crawford want an inefficient player like Pietrus to come back wit only rondo nd a declining Pierce as da only guys who can create their shot Crawford at $5 mil especially when Ray most likely aint comin back is a hell of a deal

Sometimes it's more about fit than it is talent.  I just don't see Jamal Crawford as a very good fit.
who fits then? which free agent 2 guards do u want? cuz u gotta remember Bradley is comin off shoulder surgery nd Ray doesnt even have us on his teams of interest we need more scoring for $5 mil i wouldnt mind another guy who can create his own shot

Brandon Rush, Nic Batum.

rofl lol hahahahaha man please like someone else said they're restricted nd neither one of them can create their own shot like Crawford bet u if he comes here a lot of yall will change yall tune, weak @ anti-celtic too hahahaha brandon rush was lookin like a bust til he played slightly above average last year for da warriors

I'm happy I was able to amuse you.  You probably won't be able to get off the floor and you might have to get rushed to the emergency room suffering from a laugh attack after this post, but I'd prefer a young, athletic, defensive minded wing who can run the floor and finish, can convert from long range off catch and shoot situations, and create some havoc in loose ball and transition opportunities to a guy who likes shooting a lot off the dribble and doesn't bring a lot of other intangibles to the table.

rofl FACT Brandon Rush was on bust status til last year, I feel u wit Batum but we cant overpay to get him away from Portland also wit Ray Allen most likely gone nd Bradley havin surgery we need someone else who can score nd a shot creator helps put it like dis i'd rather have Crawford then our top bench wing from last year Pietrus iont get u guys yall complain about offense nd when a surpremely talented offensive wing is available for cheap yall bash him nd call him anti-celtic no wonder we dont get many free agents lol

I've never really complained about the Celtics offense.  I like that we have an offense that is based more on player and ball movement in the half court than one that relies on giving the ball to one guy and asking everyone else to get out of the way while he does his thing.

I'd rather find players who can play some defense while at the same time fitting in with Rondo's strengths as a transition player and also be floor spacers and cutters and finishers in the half court.

Cap isn't infinite. KG, Bass, Green, Ray?, Wilcox.....

dannys prob gonna do some 2 for 1 trades this summer.
bass + green for some borderline all-star.

dannys got a million pieces to play with, and he would only see jamal crawford as a back up/borderline started like bass was.

the david west trade he tried to pull off last year - he'll do something like that again this summer.
