Pierce and Bradley for Joe Johnson and Josh Smith, who says no?

(I will now duck and cover and apologize for kinda-sorta trolling my own forums)

hint: I say no

  • GOT IT!!!
C's would be stuck in medicority another 10 years with that trade. You know ATL would be thrilled for something similar to that. Johnson's contract is just sickening.

Not enough value for Atlanta.

I really think Houston is going to make a hard bid for Smith ASAP, in order to help entice Howard (and perhaps even Deron Williams).

I would not be suprised if the #18 pick is, in fact, part of a deal for Smith, along with Dalembert's partially guaranteed contract and another young guy like whichever Morris brother they have.

Then they use the high lottery picks/young players they get for Lowry/14/16 along with Martin and perhaps Scola to try to get Howard.

And sign Williams with their remaining cap space.

A Williams/Smith/Howard combination could be real fun.

How about Luis Scola + Samuel Dalembert for Josh Smith?

Keep the picks and package them plus other assets (Lowry, Martin) for Dwight Howard.

If that would get it done.  I just am not sure what the market rate is for Smith.  But, I think Houston would jump at that trade.

I am fully convinced their plan is to try to get Howard, Smith, and Williams though.  That is one of the only ways I can see a trade for Howard working out for them longterm.

If Houston manages to turn Scola, mediocre picks, and assored rubbish into Howard/Smith/Williams I will be sick.
