We need guys that don't mind playing in the paint, and not standing outside shooting J's all day.
THANK YOU!
This was a major issue in our offense this season - when the jumpers stopped falling, we struggled because we didn't have anyone outside of Rondo (and to a lesser extent Paul) who could create shots or get into the paint.
I think Royce
can develop a solid jumper, though. I know a lot of people are comparing him to Rondo with his skill set but Rondo's jumpshooting form was so broken when he came into the league and it's taken years for him to get it a decent level. With Royce, however, his jumper doesn't look nearly as flawed - it can be worked on and further developed.
And I do see him being able to play the three. 6'8", 261 lbs but unlike Glen Davis, Royce is powerfully built and there's a lot of muscle as opposed to fat. Couple that with good quickness. I like it... I like it a lot.
I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up about drafting this kid, I don't wanna be disappointed if he goes before #21.
