Danny Ainge on WEEI (Sounds like he likes sullinger a lot)

Not sure if there is a vet center who would be cost effective. If KG is back we won't have a ton of money available. Kaman will cost too much. That's why I think as strange as it sounds Ainge may target size in the draft and hope Doc will play the newbie(s).

I think Camby could be had for 3-5 mil, can't hurt that he grew up in ct and went to school at umass ?

Always liked Camby. As long as he can still rebound and defend the paint, he's the guy for the job. Anybody seriously think KG will be pleased with a rookie starting center?

Just as a side note, I feel that people are totally overrating what Jeff Green will get in terms of contract, and totally underestimating what KG and Ray will get.

KG: floor is $8M; I'd be shocked if he isn't getting at least $10M from some team next year (preferably the Cs).

Just as a side note, I feel that people are totally overrating what Jeff Green will get in terms of contract, and totally underestimating what KG and Ray will get.

The possibility of Sullinger coming to Boston is becoming real-er day after day.  Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Sully here, but I've become near obsessed with Andrew Nicholson, and, barring a draft-day trade to move up, selecting both of them at #21 and #22 would be redundant.  Add in the fact that we have 3J, and it makes the Celtics look bad.

Overall, if I had to choose between Sullinger and Nicholson, I'd go with Sully, just because you can't pass on a guy projected to be a top-3 pick a year ago.

 yep..I kinda got the same feeling..I would not put it past DA to take him , IF DA moves up a few picks and Austin FALLs a few spots ....it might be close ...I'd say there is a 50% chance he'd pick him , depending on WHO ELSE they are looking at and if they are still around.

I took from his comments to mean we may trade up about 5 spots, which might be enough to land Sullinger, but probably not high enough to draft Rivers.

I believe his moving up 5 comments were in direct response to whether he could or would trade his two firsts to move up, in response to which he said they'd only get him maybe up to 15, 16 or 17.  He said he was listening to all offers on the picks.

However, given that Wyc sounds so committed to Pierce retiring as a Celtic, I don't think Danny has the assets to really get up higher than that.

He has JJJ as a PF not SF.  Moore is OK as backup PG if you have Dooling and Bradley as well.  Green is more likely to stay in Boston than go elsewhere since we know him better including his medical condition.  Overall, I think that roster is pretty realistic.  Ray is not Ikely to return.  It gives us a bigger front line too, though I would take Sean Williams over Kristic.
