Olympic Gold Medalist - Shawn White --> did a comic role in a Friends with Benefits
Losing U.S. Presidential Candidate - Thomas Dewey --> um, biggest political joke of 20th century?
Mythical Creature/Being - Thor  --> can be a real gas when he's 'hammered'
Redhead - Eric The Red  --> um, he's a viking.  funny get up?
Mascot - UCSC Banana Slug --> funniest mascot going.
Rapper - The Fresh Prince  --> definitely funniest rapper
Professional Wrestler - Randy "Macho Man" Savage --> some of the funniest wrestling interviews ever.
TV Based Law Enforcement Character - Chuck Norris  --> how can you beat Chuck Norris, the source of all the "Chuck Norris is so tough" lines.
Wild Card - The Omniverse  --> in at least one of the alternate universes, the Omniverse is funny?   

overall, I think it's between IP and wdleehi on this one but I'll gladly accept anyone's votes
